    Coolest thing in Bangalore!
This was the highlight of my time in Bangalore. I enjoyed it so much. It is the coolest activity you can do when in Bangalore. I enjoyed getting to know how music has evolved in Indian society, the influence of western genres in Indian music as well as the influence of Indian music in the world. I loved to see the impact of music in culture and its importance in films. Additionally, I can say that the museum is very well maintained. It is a real pleasure to explore it. I highly recommend you to check out this amazing museum!

Excellent and groundbreaking museum of Indian music
Fantastic museum of Indian music. The exhibits are thorough and comprehensive while also being very readable and accessible. The music traverses the entire history of Indian music, starting with origins in the second century BC, tracing the evolution of both the Hindustani and Carnatic genres, and continuing through modern day Indian genres and crossovers with Western music The museum also has an excellent section on Indian dance forms. Tremendous experience.

I'm a musician from England, and am aware now of how mathematical Western music is, mainly because of it's birth in the Rennaissance. This museum enlightened me to music from South India in particular. I learned a lot. The displays were informative visually & aurally. The genres were wide. There was something of interest for everyone of whatever age or background. Most enjoyable, thank you.

This museum allows you to explore the history of India and its culture through music. You can learn not only about the different traditional instruments and the genres, but also about how they developed differently in different parts of the country up to modern days. It is an amazing way of discovering the beautiful diversities of the country, its history and, of course, its art. Totally recommended!

This is an amazing place for every music lover to visit once. They have widest collection of instruments and we can listen to each of them! Also record some songs if it's dream to record songs in a studio because they have one studio. Entire museum is filled with innumerable information regarding music and this made my day!

It would be unfair to say what my favourite part of the experience is, because I loved every display, every experience equally. However, for the sake of my review, I'd say that the most appealing experience was reading the theory behind the birth and evolution of music. It felt like a great revelation about the intricacies of global music.

My tip to other visitors is, not to club this visit with any other if you really want to do justice to the first of its kind in probably the world - The Music Museum. Also, please carry a notebook to take home some precious knowledge.

Excellently designed with a walk through the musical history of India. It has good interactive exhibits especially the sound garden outside. Being a santoor player, I was a bit disappointed to not see it kept in the museum . It laid equal emphasis to instrumental and vocal journeys in music . Even if you are not into music, the visual aesthetics of the place themselves are worth seeing

An amazing, comprehensive, museum that encompasses all the extremely diverse facets of Indian music. We spent an informative and absorbing 2 hours without being able to exhaust all the musical treasures on display. Each of the display items have been chosen to enrich our experience. I loved the Instruments Gallery, the selection of classical music pieces of the different gharanas, the history on the origins of our classical music and the indie pop selections.
The photo opportunities are well designed and we got a few good pictures. The security guard Dheeraj kumar was extra polite and helpful in getting the best pics possible. Gave us tips on how to look regal in front of the gramophone photo setting.
I would definitely visit IME again...
