Please don't go nearby this lake. There are crocodiles in it. My friend got bitten by a crocodile and he lost one hand.

Its a beautiful place. But its a banned place now. It's protected with electrical fence and no one can enter inside. Let's hope that they will open it for public in future.

Had a great day. Have a safe journey. Please don't pollute. It's a wild life forest. You can enjoy the sun rise. We started the trip by 4.00 AM from. Jayadeva hospital... And reached around 5.30 AM..... You can watch elephants if you are lucky.....More

A destination to head via a serene country side path on a fine morning or evening. Do not expect a great view at the lake but definitely a good place for peace lovers :)

We 8 friends went today to visit this place . unfortunately we were not able to go near by lake bcoz it;s restricted by police . So i can suggest don't plant to visit Thattekere lake any more .

I guess it depends. When we visited, there were no department guys at all. We reached there in the evening around 4. Give it a try.

In day time only they are not allowing near lake. It's waste to go.I think so night also hey will allow . Due to elephants attack they have stopped permission to go near lake .

yeah u can absolutely visit thattekere. trekking is not allowed in forest. its cool picturesque place to visit which is close to Bangalore.
