Mesmerizing View
Jun 2018
This place is just vast and breathtaking with various colours as you travel. The mountains look like a painting from the distance. This stretch of 30 odd kms is a pleasure as long as there is no sand storm. We experienced a storm and had to travel through it which was quite an adventure

Gorgeous and adrenaline rush

The sight of plains is a welcome relief after the horrendous and torturous road from Sarchu/Jispa enroute Leh.
The views in the plains are gorgeous...arid,rocky and serenely scenic.
The road...what can be said
Just rev the RE’s to their full throttle and enjoy the bumps.
PS: Some off roading can be explored at some stretches

Plains At 4800 meters

After climbing the turns of Pang, hard to believe this enormous stretch of plains. 40 KM of plains, on such an elevated place !!!
The tarmac is pristine, and you can race towards glory. The plains end with the climb to Taglang La.

Stunning plains @ 16k feet high

It's just mind numbing to think that you are on such a large plain surface at an altitude of close to 16000 feet. There are simply no words to describe the Moore Plains, except to encourage others to visit :).

Plains above 14k feet!!! Superb roads. Heres what we did.. rode at 120kmph felt we crossed it too fast... Came back and then rode at 60kmph. This place is heaven if you love to drive/ride. After all the bad roads its a riders/drivers paradise. Breath taking scenic beauty.. Marvellous..

It leaves you spell bounded by the vast flat land that you see here! Don't miss taking pictures of yourself and your drive - I'd prefer you cross the place after mid-day, the breeze in the evening is certainly mesmerizing!

Surreal beauty

This plains on the Manali-Leh highway will blow your mind. The vastness, the surrealistic mountains, hills and the shades the clouds project on them, the perfect blue sky and the white clouds - the overall expansion of your mind is for sure.
I was dumbstruck by the view and turned silent for moments altogether, unable to even think on my solo trip to Leh, on a bus.

This is a picturesque area en-route from Leh-Manali, after crossing the Tatlang- La pass. the plains stretch for 10s of kilometers and are surrounded by snow-capped mountains. A treat to drive on this road.

An Exceptional piece of Vastness..........

En route to Leh, you will come across this grassy land, Moore Plains... A remarkably positioned land, where you will simply find oneself at like Top of the World... Entire stretch of grassland is unique and soothing... A simply exquisite delightful journey on this plains... Remember NEVER run, or, pace fast yourself on these plains, as due to high altitude (Avg altitude 4800m (15748ft)) you may feel sick and breathlessness... Children's needs Parents caution for the same. Walk around and enjoy the scenic masterpiece... You will surely love it... After all it's all memories that will cherish you lifelong, for once visiting..... Worth Visit.... Explore the Nature, Explore the Beauty.....
