An idea to develop garden with flow of water and flowers by mughal emperors is unique and baradari of diwan e am and diwan e khas looks amazing.

This is also one of the Mughal Gardens, adjacent to the Dal Lake. Well maintained, Calm atmosphere with mountain views. A very good spot for picnic, time pass with family whilst in Srinagar.

Shalimar Gardens are old days gardens build by Kings , and now maintained by government to allow us to see those beautiful places and fourteens they enjoyed.

I visited shalimar Bagh first time in April with my Best friends ...it was my one of the memorable visit ever..Garden is Fully covered ...one of the biggest thing is that u can sit under chinar trees...Now I want to visit again after this Eid

the garden is full of chinars trees and witha lovely fountains and a stream flowing through its center. The garden has antique gazboos locted at the center which makes it unique.

Shalimar Bagh is very well maintained, the day we visited was Sunday, due to which it was too much crowded. But its a good place to visit & spend time with family.

when i visited the shalimar it was on sort of a reconstruction spree although it was not in any way hindering the beauty of bagh in any ways,highly recommended to visit try going in the morning as crowd is less and best time to take...More
