Yousmarg is around 47 kms south west of Srinagar and south of Chara-re-Sharif.The road from Srinagar slowly ascends through the apple orchards and pine forest to reach a height of around 7800 ft.Its not perfectly a valley but a very wide meadow .Its a paradise and far from the madding crowd of Gulmarg,Sonamarg Phalgam. It is surrounded by pine forest,Enjoy the... Same like allover kashmir you need bargaining capacity to go for the pony ride , you need to pay like 1500 per person for the ride for three hours , with out the ride you will not see anything

If you want to avoid the smell of horse excreta...Go to Yusmarg. No Doubt Gulmarg has better infrastructure... but it looks gorgeous only in winters...

When tourists visit Kashmir it is generally to Srinagar, Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Sonamarg. Enroute some may stop over at Manasbal Lake, Tangmarg or the source of the Jhelum in Anantnag district. However, if one is looking for another gem to visit - head to Yousmarg - west-south-west of Budgam (Srinagar Airport). There is a wonderful road and two hours drive... More

Heaven Heaven it's in Kashmir... My land my country my countries proud... What a beauty... The running springs whispering music ... Cold water running surrounded by snow claded mountains... Awesome awestruck beauty... Feel like never coming back ... A must visit

This a place off the tourist grid and only for those who like to be away from the "Madding Crowd". Revisited again after 50 years. The beauty still there but saddened by the buildings that have come up. They don't mesh in. But still a must visit for a day and even a night- meant only for those who love... More

Compared to other places in and around Kasmir valley, this place has nothing much to offer/see. Visit only if you have some extra time. We visited there on someone's recommendation and thought it was a complete waste of time! Visited August 2014

A day after Sonmarg, this was an enchanting experience. The tourist rush is less and the drive is beautiful through pine forests, and Apple and Almond orchards. The roads are great and the traffic is easy. Once you reach, take the ponies. For a change, this is a fixed price location. The meadows are beautiful and quiet. Go on to... More
