we passed this dam a few years ago and really admired the place. Unfortunately at that time there were no hotels there. Now the place has a few hotels.

Surrounded by mountains in between two big mountains on the river beas the government has built this dam for conservation of water for drinking and agricultural need of the area

Water was less and nice to see a dam on the way to manali. Not a must in the March month as the flow of water is less

We stopped here for some time for photography on the way to Manali. It was sunny day during noon in Jan and very cold. Due to lot of road expansion work traffic was not moving fast in nearby area. Not a must to visit site.

It is quite OK to visit Manali during Nov 18.... It will be a pleasant weather. HOwever you may not be able to witness snow etc...
