At last decided to visit Spiti & Kinnaur in March. On 25th march reached Kaza By HRTC bus from Shimla as roads from Manali side were closed.Through out the Shimla - Kaza... More

I can not recommend the Spiti Valley highly enough. Of our 18 month trip, this is definitely a highlight. We visited in April 2016. April is an excellent time as the road from Spiti to Manali hasn't usually opened. This meant that there were few tourists when we visited and we felt way off the hummus trail. We did hope... More

Lahaul-Spiti is a cold desert area as it hardly gets any rain. The place is famous for its various high altitude trek trails and a rich Tibetan influenced culture. Snow is a common feature here and some peaks never let it go, no matter what season it is.The best places to visit in Lahaul and Spiti are. 1) Ki-Gompa (Key... More

The ice topped mountains, the rivers and waterfalls, the beautifully blue sky, the weather - the list can go on and on but still it won't do justice to this place. Although the roads are not for the weak hearted, it adds up to the adventure factor of this place. This place is still relatively pure and virgin. It's calm... More

Trans Himalayan cold desert Spiti is a dream come true valley in Himachal Pradesh. Unmatched natural beauty combined with unique culture, similar to Central Asia and Tibet, charmed us every moment while we were there. Places we liked most are high altitude villages like Langza, Hikkim, Losar, Comik, Kibber and Rongrik, Buddhist monasteries like Dhukner, ki and Tabo, pass like... More
