Iam not a very good travelogue writer...
So ill write in parts my experience....before you plan any destination should be researched well thts my personal experience and it really helped me...though we have very helpful member in the group like @TAPS29, @KedarGadikar and many others who are always there to help and guide...but once you are there you are on your own...so be prepared physically and menatally strong in case you dnt have netwrk to contact do not panic and be calm...
1. Highway drive for me always been fun but different state mei different maza hai apna apna and dangers bhi...Maine life mei itne cows highway pe kabhi nai dekhe the jitne Rajasthan and MP mei dekhe and many dead
cows and dogs ek jagah to 5 to 6 cows were dead in a group so bhai log be careful safe speed drive if u cant control your car then do not rush normal speed mei raho to save urself and others too..
2. Chalo highway se nikal ke aage badhte hai Somehow i reached Shimla my first destination beautiful place most of you aware and been there...so nothing much to talk about. I covered Mall road, Jhaku temple, rope way (must to do) and evening walk at mall road is very relaxing.
3. After shimla driving through beautiful valleys but dangerous turns and offroading i reached chitkul one of the worst roads and dangerous too for driving and i did that stretch at nite. Stayed there in #camps right next to river is very relaxing after long and tiring drive #bonfire #oldmonk waha banti hai bhai thandi mei...and nxt day left for Nako but while returning in daytime i found those roads more dangerous then nite coz i could see the deep valleys and little space on corner 😨😨...somehow at speed of 20km i reached down...then we continued journey on d way we went to Hatu temple bhai waha ka drive to aur bhi dangerous tha car almost 30degree angle pe thi aisa lag raha tha abhi neeche jayegi aur side mei no place...i have a video of tht drive ill share it separately..
3. Before Nako there is Kalpa suicide point but avoid it if u can not worth i dint like it itna drive karke waste of time and fuel ill share pics for all places and points in short description later for your understanding.
4. After staying at Nako village in a homestay and experiencing local food served in local style worth and mist have...you will be warm welcomed by them and very friendly people..next morning i start drive for Que monastery also called Mummy stupa...oldest mummy is there and they worship her...people say that her hair and nails still growing and they cut it every sunday....must to go place...on a high altitude...after that went to Tabo monastery and then overnite stay at Mud village....while coming to mud village there is pin valley it has one of thr best scenic Beauty of all valley different colors and river flowing in the centre is so refreshing to see...spent sometime in valley...did trekking there..
5. Then headed for Dhankar monastery roads are good but yes located on high altitude and sharp turns too but valleys around will make your drive comfortable...i was stopping and clicking photos making videos and enjoying fresh air and beauty of nature dint make me tired of driving through out my journey...infact i was enjoying every bit of it....reached Kaza where i was planned for two nite stay...and also refueling point one must refuel here and if possible carry spare fuel in bottles for remaining journey till Manali..waha pe world ka highest altitude pe petrol pump hai (12,270 feet altitude).. they say that staying 2 days in kaza will help your body to acquire high altitude effect and for me it worked day one i had breathing problem but nxt day i was alrite.
6. So from Kaza i went to key monastery, Chicham bridge, Langza, Hikkim village has post office which js worlds only post office at the altitude of 14400 feet, Komic is the highest village and has a restaurant at the altitude of 4587 mtr. Also Kibber valley is again a place to visit for beautiful valley and river view.
7. Now comes the drive of life and to reach highest altitude in spiti and that is heading for chandrataal lake via losar and Kunzum pass (has highest altitude of 4551 metres) waha pe Mata ka temple hai jo koi miss nahi karta hai... drive way hai jo pura temple ka ek round leta hai and waha pe har koi rukta hai to take blessings from her and prey for safe drive..waha pe you can see mointains covered with snow all around and temple in the middle of the valley...i was like bas yahi jannat hai yahi ruk jao...lekin you cant stay there for long due to lack of oxygen...but i cud still manage to stay there for 40 to 45 mins and captured beautiful moments and spent peace time at temple for smtime praying....finally reached chandrataal lake...i forgot to mention...start early around 9am from kaza to reach chandrataal lake early so that u can spend more time at lake in daylight and if ur lucky like me then have a sunny day to aur maza aayega...i spent about 4 hrs there we reached at 1pm and until 5pm we were there uske bad bahut thand ho gayi thi so we had to be back at the camp....and chandrataal aisi jagah hai jaha pe dnt expect luxury be prepared for worst those guys work had there to give us comfort so dnt curse them pls if u go there.. understand how they arrange all the things...ratko temperature minus mei jata hai waha pe and even fluffy blankets dint help much somehow we passed that nite and early morng left for manali about 6.30am subah waha pe garam pani 7am ke bad hi milta hai and wo bhi bahut mushkil se garam hota hai...so i decided to start my journey and take halt after an hour at chacha chachi dhaba the oldest in chandrataal run by old couple very nice place and food served there...u can get hot water there for brushing and freshen up...and ya dnt forget if you live photography in minus temperature then dnt miss starry nite at chandrataal and chitkul...use gopro timelapse for capturing... driving thru chhota dara, batal, chhatru and grampu is actually called offroading waha road hai hi nahi bhai...bas stones and debries hai almost 65 to 70 kms ka stretch hai minimum 6 hrs lagte hai so soch lo but ab apne nexon ki tarif karne ka time aa gaya bhai...at the end of journey kya performance hai bhai kya safety hai amazing very comfortable drive thru out bina dare i was so confident...car mei bat hai apne aap confidence level badh jata hai...now ek bar apne grampu cross kar liya to bas phir to makhan hai roads waha se sissu and then manali...

SPITI TRIP.....Thanks to Mr Sonu for organizing trip....
Sep 2021 • Family
I am writing this review regarding my recent Spiti trip from 10th Sept to 18th Sept initially I have contacted many travel agents but found difficult to manage as per the budget.Travel agents quoting higher price.we were four adults and two kids of 5 years of age. Finally on TripAdvisor I found name Sonu bhai along with the contact number. I have contacted Sonu bhai to hire personal vehicle which was Innova He have given the best price as per my budget now the question was who will be driver for trip. Whether he is experienced one or new one. Does he have knowledge of adventurous roads.
We don't know Sonu will be driving or he will be appointing another person.
He was busy in some other trip so assign Mr Omi for my trip. OMI a young, enthusiastic guy and soft spoken guy.We have started journey from chandigarh and within 4 hours of journey he became a friend of mine guiding at each and every point right from Chandigarh. He is having very good knowledge of Spiti roads, turns, off roading, tourist spots and others which we not known by other having magnificent view. DRIVING SKILLS were superb. No one can raise question on driving skills..he can drive Innova in snowfall....I have experienced this.....

Interesting part was we have not booked any hotel. He suggested the best hotel within budget which we can't find on my own sources with great location....Omi have taken us to points where we can get good food local dishes...he have act as personal guide, agent, friend, localite what ever u can say...
In whole trip he enjoyed with us as if he is with us all the time guiding....

Generally what happen drivers sit in their cars and traveller visit places and come back to their vehicle and then go....but in this case it was different he never sit in car he goes outside the car with us and enjoy in same way as we were enjoying.....

BELIEVE ME THIS is gueninue review ...the Sonu bhai and his family is in business for more than 20 years and serving....best part is they are not the agents but advisor.....for your trip......

A BIG THANKS TO MR OMI and SONU BHAI.... 9816378229 /9817356899.....

Nice experience.
Sep 2021
Recently we travelled through the Spiti valley for an eleven day excursion. We contacted Sonu Bhaiya for taxi service after reading the rave reviews about him on this Tripadvisor forum. Sonu agreed to provide the service, but with some other driver. I agreed considering the high recommendations many of the contributors mentioned here. But my experience was not as exuberant as the others’ were. The driver, Rajinder by name (told to be Sonu’s brother, maybe all the drivers in this circuit are his brethren), with mobile number 9816844536 and vehicle regn. number HP 01S 1221, is not the one worth recommending. His excellent driving skills notwithstanding, I could not find the conducive mentality and attitude which was very much expected in the 11-day trip. So anybody like to avail the service of Sonu Bhaiya, better to engage Sonu himself. As for Sonu himself, he should be a bit more professional. But for this minor hiccups, the Spiti experience has been nothing short of magical.

We went to Chandigarh and continued hiring a car from Sonu who really gave us a young Guy as our Driver . Hats off to his driving and we all really enjoyed a lot forgetting our age with him.

Went to this cold desert by car all the way from Kolkata. What a challenging trip for the unprofessional drivers like us . Almost no life up there , only few brave locals are there and they are so helpful. Roads are risky to say the list and we did not have proper knowledge of driving though the snowy road. No internet, so google we managed with the road signs and local guides. Thrilling and enduring experience.

Beautiful scenery mountains & Nature
Jun 2021 • Couples
Spiti is more beautiful than the account that substantiate the claims behind its beauty. kaza is at a higher altitude than Leh. the journey is very dangerous either from manali or kalpa but it is worth it. the peace, beauty and serenity you find there are unparalleled. even ladakh stands nothing before it.
I will recommend Bhupinder singh ( sonu bhaiya) for this trip

Spiti Trip..
Apr 2021 • Family
We went to kaza on 18 th April. Then our real journey began. We were after being stuck in snowfalls and landslides. Many more cars were stuck with us. There we met our Sonu Bhaiya ( Real name- Mr. Bhupender Dass). Army rescued his passengers and took them away. After that he helped us. Although we did not hire him, he helped us a lot. The way he helped us, without the hope of getting anything, we were overwhelmed. Thank you so much Sonu Bhaiya for helping us so much in a selfless way. If you want to more memorable your trip then go with Sonu Bhaiya, he will perfectly guided you. His Contact Number - 9816378229/ 9817356899

Our stay in the Resort was an excellent break from winter. View was splendid!
Beyond the relaxing atmosphere of the resort, the next best part was the fantastic food and excellent service at the Restaurant. The menu has a great variety of food choices and the preparation made for superior tasting. The staff was very attentive, professional and friendly. ...
i wish to visit atleast twice in a year to get fresh life.
