Visit to 2500 year old temple
Feb 2020 • Friends
We saw the 2500 year old Kuber Bhandari temple which is one form of Lord Shiva. Devotees throng the temple . One has to first take a jeep till the bank of the river from Poicha and then cross the river via a boat. There are many steps which lead to the temple. It is worth a visit as the legend goes that wishes are fulfilled there

A holy place.
Sep 2019 • Couples
We visited this temple in the last week of september,on the way frim statue of unity.Lots of people were there and it was a good experience. We had our lunch there,as prasad, and it was simple and fresh food.Much better than eating in a hotel.
Only thing disturbing waa the lack of overall cleanliness.Again,it would be difficult as there are simply too many people visiting it.Unless people take it upon themselves as a cause,it will never change.

Great Spiritual Ancient temple of Kuber, Lord of Wealth.
Dec 2018
A trip to Vadodra or Baroda is incomplete without darshan to Lord Kuber at Chanod, Karnali's Kuber Bhandari temple and Pavagadh Kali Mata temple Shakti Peeth over 2 days. Kuber Bhandari temple is southern side towards Rajpipla, Bharuch on banks of Narmada river Triveni Sangam ghat. From Vadodra its 1.5 to 2 hours drive. I was with family put up at Country Club 2 nights at Golden Chowkdi on Mumbai National Highway passing Vadodra. We took private vehicle to do Kuber temple and next day Pavagadh. This diverts off national highway towards Rajpipla to reach Chanod.

One can do Chanod Kuber and Statue of Unity nearby another 2 hour drive together easily if pressed for time in 2-3 days. Need a private vehicle this area for faster travel though Govt Bus service is well connected on routes.

We took light breakfast and found the road through green trees and farms to Chanod. Eating local fruits with salt-chilli masala in winter on road sides is more fun on way. We found no quality restaurants at all not even proper restaurants frankly. For Chanod you need cross Narmada river by a ferry boat to temple. A short 2 minute walk to boating area from Chanon bank. Chanod boat ferry is cheaper with more family members can private rent one. Its a 10-15 minute boat ride to temple across river and you can see bathing and samshan ghats passing by. The sandy river bank is a great break to bath and relax. The temple has a good number of steps 100+ to climb so senior citizens need be careful. The temple is old and historical and has some mini temples inside complex. I recommend taking a holy dip off Narmada before boarding the boat to temple and be clean for worshiping. Carry spare clothes for such a bath.

Chanod village has less eating options frankly speaking so carrying decent food is advised. You can have food cooked at Swaminarain Temple on early arrival request and darshan. Then have food after darshan on return. Best to have lunch if visiting late morning-afternoon. Afternoon town is shut down and deserted. When we returned afternoon we found nothing to eat and were hungry. I regret not having a heavy breakfast so can recommend same and some food carry along.

On return to Vadodra from Chanod we diverted to Anusuya Mata temple nearby some 15-20 kms diversion on route. Anusuya Mata temples are known to bless childless couples. The mud around this temple is believe to have curative properties for skin diseases. One can do a darshan there. I strongly recommend it if you have come so far. My family was very hungry itw as almost 4 PM as we could not find good lunch at Chanod we found a village wedding outside Anusuya temple we ate there without invitation and gifted token cash to groom's family. That was something.

kuber bhandari temple
Oct 2019
This temple is said to be around 2500 years but definitely more than 1000 years old. This is really a famous tirth of gujarat. The blind faith is about the visit on amavasya day. But when you visit gujarat and whatever is the day you should visit this place for improving your financials.Since there is great rush of peoples on amavasya day you better plan your visit on full moon day ie poornima day. You will find few peoples and you can easily sit inside the temple near to lord shiv linga and perform your pooja for hours. On amavashya day you can not enter inside and have darshan in Q from far away.So better plan on poornima and Mondays. Male and female both should have dhoti if want pooja sitting inside. No Kurta pajama or salvar suit allowed inside , so have one dhoti even female dhoti gents can use in male style.WHILE COMING BACK DO NOT FORGET TO HAVE A RICE/MONEY/SUPARI POTLI .This you have to keep in pooja and kitchen bhandar. This area is well connected by local road to poicha(Neelkanthdham) and sardar sarover/statue of unity. You can night stay in Neelkanthdham and enjoy all the three places. Well maintained rooms with 3 beds in neelkanthdham. So this attraction of gujarat is a must see in lifetime

The only dedicated Kuber temple in the world
Aug 2019
The temple is well located near the highway overlooking the triveni sangam of Narmada River. The story of the temple is wonderful, I have attached the picture of the story of the temple. Wikipedia and many other websites are misleading about the story behind this temple. The temple priests inform the actual story and the story is on the walls of the temple. The food and tea is served at all times till the temple is closed. People with naga dosham or Rahu peeda can perform pooja here.

Just wow of mother nature

Being an architect I love nature and its forms and as a Vastu scientist I believe in nature. For both the reasons this is my favorite place. Evenings are awesome and mornings are marvelous. The temple and surrounding both are great.
