Lukshmi Villas Palace is the Official residence of the Maharaja Of Baroda.The royal family still resides in this magnificent palace builtin 1889.A part of the palace is open for visitors during the day 10 am to 5 pm. Mondays is the weekly off day. Weekends can get crowded , so best to come on any other day.The ticket cost Rs. 200 And it includes a complimentary audio tour guide in either english , hindi & marathi.Photographs inside the palace are not permitted. The tour takes about an hour. Water & other cold beverages are available at a charge for visitors.

It is no doubt a must visit place when in Vadodara. Very well maintained, good audio tour system in place available in different languages. Must visit place on your itinerary. It's worth spending couple of hours here. Rs225 is the fees for Indians. as soon as you enter the palace you re provided audio player which gives you detailed history of the palace. Built is 1800 at cost. 180000 pounds.

Must visit place. A walk around is mesmerizing. Winters are preferred. Easy to reach and parking is not an issue.

We just went on the off-chnace of having nothing else to do and were pleasantly surprised. The tour was very nice with audio headphones taking you through all the places, except the last 2. The hindi guide has more information. We loved the story that it reveals and the history

LVP added another feather in cap with additiona of Laxmi vilas palace banquets.Delectable mouth watering delicacies served in buffets adding to the ambience specially pool sides stand tall for any events/gettogethers/marriages etc
