You absolutely must visit this museum when coming to Ahmedabad. It is important to know though that you must make a reservation to go.

It is an amazing museum and we were very lucky as you need to book months in advance and only a small group is taken in the tours twice a day. I would recommend booking as soon as you know you may visit. We did not thinking we would get access but it was in our destiny and I loved... More

This museum has lot of old textile designs and cloths preserved. Also the way museum is made is superb, all the old styles and design are preserved. It covers wide area and its very big in place. When we enter inside the museum, it gives smell of old traditions. Awesome place

I would like to keep my review crisp without much "Masala". My first thought was being a person with no background in textile, "should i go?". My answer now is "Yes". Every one should go.Its not just about textiles, its about knowing our Culture, not just Gujarati, but Indian culture. I came across history through textile. Seen like never before.... More

This is the only textile museum in the country. Has very old artifacts dating back to prehistoric time. The family maintaining the museum are also textile mill owners and art lovers.

I've never seen another place like it. Takes a very limited number of people per day through their collection, only 20 according to their website. Entrance is only during a short time period in the morning. Plan accordingly, it is well worth the trouble to make time for this fascinating place. The museum also hosts visiting scholars in textile arts.
