I visited many a times. This beautiful house of Allah is still as it is. It is well maintained. A precious & one of the stoned pillared mosque's of Ahmedabad. The architectural view with the well maintained green garden brings alive those historical moments of olden day Ahmedabad.

Mosque Guide showed us inside, told us a bit of history and did not charge us a penny! best time to visit is outside prayer times.

This is a mosque located in the hearts of Ahmedabad city; which is also a traffic-magnet and heavily crowded.

The place is very well maintained, clean. This place is one of those ancient works in the city of Ahmedabad during the times of Sultan Ahmed Shah; but in recent times this place is going towards negligence of the public.

Try to have glance of the inner beauty of this place which will give you a time-travel ride back to 1400s

When I arrived there were about five muslims in the front entrance, but I did not want to go in and disturb any prayer or meeting. They all waved me in and told me to come inside. The inside is small but has a lot of character, well worth a visit.

This one is a small mosque, slowly falling in to negligence, but once it was the royal mosque, built for the king's family, and was part of royal complex enclosure. Though most of the former palace complex gone, this is now a stand-alone structure with its fallen minarets and palm trees in open courtyard. Try to see the mosque reflection through the ablution tank, may be with some flowers in the water, and you will not regret. Though in heavy traffic area, it is quite close distance from other attractions of the inner city of Ahmedabad.

The mosque was erected by the founder of Ahmedabad, Ahmed Shah I in 1414. It said to have been used as the royal household's private mosque. According to the inscription at the upper part of the central mihrab, the foundation date seems to be the 4th day of Shawwal month in 817AH, which is 17 December 1414

This mosque built in 1400s has been replicated in a bigger grandeur and scale in the nearby Juma Masjid, which seem to be the inspiration of Delhi Jama Masjid. It has a beautiful courtyard and awesome pillars to mark different lines of prayers.
