The Teen Darwaza is a triple arched gateway and one of the many city gates of Ahmedabad when it was fortified with a wall. The Teen Darwaza guards the eastern entrance of Bhadra Fort and was built in the early 15th century when Ahmad Shah moved the capital of the Muzaffarid dynasty to the newly built city of Ahmedabad.
Teen Darwaza is a nice landmark of the city, especially as it appears on the crest of the municipal corporation of the city.

The teen Darwaza area has an old gate fo Mughal empire area. You can still look at the architecture and how small bricks were used to build it without any automatic system and technology. The are has a great wholesale market in every product. Best to do shopping

This place is historical monument in old Ahmedabad. It has three doors for entry and exit dates back to 15 th century. This place is heavily crowded by local stalls and hawkers. Nothing a clean place and always crowded. Not on tourist map.

Teen Darwaza is home to famous things like Bhatiyar Gali (for non veg food), street shopping, heavy bargaining, too much crowd, etc.
Teen Darwaza is located near Lal Darwaza area and is at a walking distance if you are coming from Lal Darwaza, Pankornaka (Relief Road).
This place is home to Ahmedabad's largest street side shopping and also has other nearby attractions like Jama Masjid. Prices here are quoted almost three to four times, so if something actually costs Rs. 100, you can expect the street side shop owners to quote you Rs. 400 / 500 for the same. Hence you have to bargain really a lot to get a good price.
As a word of caution, this place is very heavily crowded and pocket pickers, thieves are a regular occasion hence be careful of your belongings when walking the streets here.

The Teen Darwaza area is a relatively congested area in the old
city of Ahmedabad. We were on a tour of the city, and this was
one of the attractions on our list. `Teen Darwaza' literally
means three entrances, and refers to the three intricately carved
stone gateways, one of the prominent entrances to the old city of
Ahmedabad in the olden times. This is also adjacent to the Bhadra
Fort, possibly named after a Bhadrakali temple in the premises.
We did not have much time to visit the fort (it was getting dark,
and it would rain heavily in a short while!), but spend a little
while around the place: this is one of the prominent shopping
areas of Ahmedabad, where people shop for textiles and clothes,
among other items.

Hi Pooja,
Bhadra Fort area is full of many market places. Right from Bhadra Kali mandir to you walk upto Ratan Pole, one can explore readymade garments, home decor, sarees, toys and many more things. Bargain for right price.
If you buy from footpath vendor, don't expect quality or return of defective goods. Buy from regular shop and ensure to collect bill/invoice. Ratan Pole is famous for clothings and sarees. Shopkeepers are genuine and treat the customers well
