Aug 2021 • Family
This place is good for a small hiking. Many of the people don't know there is small trek one can do with the help of guide.

You can take a guide by paying 150-300. Any one can do this trek at this is of hardly 30 mins. View of the top is magnificent if you get good weather.

Polo Forests: A must visit place on weekends
Dec 2020
From Ahmedabad, arrive at Idar and take a right (at Hotel Ashirward) to access Polo forest zone. A narrow strip of the road follows vast fields of castor, cumin groundnut, wheat, and vegetables. Few kilometers further, you begin to cruise through mazes of sunrays and shadows beaming through leafy trees. Driving on this patch puts you at the cut-off from urban stress at once. As you follow the road that advances beyond quiet villages, dense tree covers, and silent fields, clocks seem to lose pace.

It's when you pass by check-post 2, fresh-clean air and green vista kicks in. On-screen signals nearly fadeThe unhurried pace of locals, over-packed jeeps ferrying people and goods both, sluggishly paddled bicycles, vegetables, and local berries by tribal vendors off roads– are at their own pace. You have arrived at Bhupatgarh, close to foothill of Aravalis and forest peripheries.

Bhupatgadh village is pocketed in fields facing across clusters of Malaysian neems. The road splits at Bhupatgarh; one on your right goes to Vijaynagar a few kilometers uphill. Another on the left reaches out to Sharneshwar temple ruins, and Vanaj Dam/Harnav river.
All base camps, tents, resorts, and few good hotels are located just around. If you have plans for any of these places, drive slowly and keep eyes on signposts (or google map!). Please ensure you have bookings for wherever you wish to put up. (visited in December 2020)

Ancient Temples Sight
Jan 2020
I visited Polo forest on starting of January with my friends. There is Ancient sculptures and temple of 15th century. One can get to Idar garh trek before going to Polo. You can well spent your weekend here. If you have your own vehicle its best, otherwise you have to book Trek with tour company.
