Lower Fort Aguada

Nice view point and very clean beach. And the taj resort also situates at facing the sea. Not very large, but nice and decent beach. Have a beautiful view point / photoshoot spot. Vicar parking space is very tight. Have to park road side that too with ticket of Rs.100.

Not worth-avoid!!
Dec 2020
Situated in one corner of the Goa, poor connectivity and bad roads will lead to this place. Nothing great about this fort. Not maintained at all, though historical fort. No facility of parking or any tourist friendly facility. Not even one good place to sit and enjoy drink or snacks. You need to struggle to buy entry tickets. You need smart phone but connectivity of net is very poor. Nothing much to see once you are inside, only you can do is click some pictures. Inside its poorly maintained. View of sea and light house is good. Overall this place can be avoided. You need to walk a lot in bright sun. Carry your water bottles and wear comfortable shoes.

Criminals owning the Two Wheeler Parking lot in Aguada Fort, Goa
Mar 2021 • Family
I rented a scooter in goa for travelling. I travelled through that scooter a lot of beaches and places and every where parking charges were 20 rupees for two wheeler.
But the people who are the incharge of parking were charging 50 rupees for same. When I talked about this. They started behaving like gundas (criminals). He (owner of parking commitee) openly gave me threat to murder me. He futher said he had given 12.5 Lac rupees to government as bribe to get this contract here so he has to recover his money as early as possible so whatever he feels good, he will do. He said he is very powerful influence in government and no body can take any action against him.
So we also afraid very much and paid 50 rupees for the scooty parking.

When I was taking the tickets at ticket counter of aguada fort site seeing, i told to ticket distributor about the parking person's behaviour. He said this guy is very powerful no body can do anything to control him. Our whole market is afraid of him...

Can be visited for Pictures only.

Only view is good, apart from that it's not so good experience. Like, everywhere in India- they are looting tourist. Food is expensive, and even than it is below average in local. Parking is not available for 4 wheelers, 2 wheeler also park at your risk. they just collect money but don't take responsibility.
Fort is ancient and good, if you have to see lighthouse you have to visit, but not enough lighting. Visit in morning hours.

What a view
Dec 2019
It's really lovely but poorly looked after.
Surely the government or even the Taj could put in some better steps down to the beach. And the walkway is usually filthy- so much litter.
Be careful of the dog pooh on the beach- it's usually under the sand so wear some footwear.
Could be so nice.

Great water sports शानदार वाटर स्पोर्टस
Dec 2019
The biggest feature of Fort Agoda Beach is that you can enjoy the sea waves here in many ways. You can enjoy the waves by landing directly in the sea. Here sports like water parasailing, banana ride, eradicate all the tiredness and create a new feeling. Their fee is also not high.
If you want to enjoy the massage on the beach, then this is also provided. Do not forget to fix his money before applying massage for caution, otherwise pocket may also be massaged

I walked up in rock stairs slowly to see a beautiful view of Arabian Sea in Aguada fort... I noticed an old light house in the background of sun 's ray light, it is an awesome view. I sighted glitters of the sea....i scared to walk in narrow line of compound walls, after reached safely, fear has gone. Whew! Unforgettable this!

Highlight of North Goa
May 2019 • Solo
Beach & some history.
Getting there is a little difficult by car but easy by bus.
Lots of refreshment stalls & a nice shack down the old laterite stairs.
A good walk takes you all around the ramparts of the old fort.
Nice big Taj Hotel replaces the old fort.
Watch out for the man eating DOGS!
