Excellent cleanliness at ghoghla beach is just awesome just like GOA. Drinks are restricted that is plus point for family and children visitors. Lots of improvements are going on with a join venture with government
nagoa beach is rocky crowded and has a few drunks loitering about.
ghogla on the other end is less crowded by far and has all the sporting activities like parasailing, jet boats and banana boats
so take your vehicle and go to ghogla

Liquor is available in Diu but not in adjoining Gujarat. We stayed in Magico Domar which falls in Gujarat while adjoining Sugati falls in Diu. Both are on Ghoghla beach towards the end so it is not that crowded. No shacks on this part of beach. There are other good hotels as well in center of city but beaches there are crowded.
