It is a good beach to visit while you are in Diu. Not that much clean. You can find Hooka trees around the beach found specially in costal areas like Diu. Vendors selling sweetcorn and coconut water outside the beach.
At almost other end of island, it is moderately sized beach. Lined with plush hotels and bars and restaurants, it also is rich in roadside local vendors. Clean and well-maintained. Safe for swimming, even for children. No harmful Marine life. Evening good for waterbirds. Mornings...More
Place is good for travelers as most of the hotels are nearby. Even you can see good DIU territory name written with it. I would not say a must visit place, but if you are in DIU then do come down and visit this place...More
There is nothing much to see. Too hot when we reached there around 1100 hrs. Worst part is there is no restriction on drinking alcohol. In fact there is bar adjacent to the beach and people can drink freely and go to the sea for...More
This beach has many 'resorts' along the road and the beach has become very commericalised.
The road was choked with SUVs and cars, the beach was pretty crowded with tourists.
There are many shops selling eatables, trinkets and knick-knacks.
One has to be careful about...More
The beach is now commercial area. As drinking is allowed the place is plagued with broken bottles in beach. The sand is black so the water looks not so clean. There are lots of shops around to enjoy. There are changing rooms for your help...More
It is a hopeless beach compared to beaches around Mumbai, Goa or in Kerala or Andaman It is uneven and gradient is high.
The beach is filthy to day the least. It seems it had not been cleaned in months. The shacks had hardly anything...More
Hi guys I'm tentavely looking at a week on the beach at Diu, looking on the net it seems a fairly laid back sort of place and the fort looks nice (shivaJi???) I'llprobably head away from Nagoa beach, so where other than Sunset is a nice place to stop, we're pretty easy when it comes to places to stay, as long as there's some kind of local food nearbye and access to bottled water we're fine. The walled town looks lovely and very photogenic A bit like Essaouira in Maroc. So what else...More

Dear cyberhippie, My experience of Diu is 10 years old. Nagoa beach is the most popular beach there. Jallandhar beach is a rocky beach and there is a Govt. guest house right at the beach. One of my friend was in Diu Admnistration, so we stayed at this guest house, sunrise watching was excellent.. Fort is Okayish, nothing spectacular..... The town is good and there are many seafood restaurants on the waterfront.......

After reaching Junagadh you can plan to visit the girnar jain temple also. But you should have a extra day for this visit as it is on the Girnar mountain and you have to climb steps to reach there. As per my opinion as you are reaching the nearby place you must visit this place also. It is very nice religious place.
