While staying in Daman we visited this place in the evening. It has an old fort on one side and lots of fishing boats on the other side. One side is Nani Daman and on the opposite side is Moti Daman. In the evening one can get a good sunset view.

Daman has two parts Moti daman is admisitrative area whereas Nani daman has major tourist spots. The good thing to enjoy is morning walk on seaface road towards fort and jetty area.
Nani daman has devka fort, St. Jerome fort and many other.

Even not having the qualities of a normal beach, the availability of cheap liquor and non veg with no other alternatives made the black sand, rocky beach with a little muddy water rather busy and crowded. But sometimes the white clouds, tides and natural tall trees differentiate its beauty from other beaches. Horse riding was available .Viewing sunset was beautiful. The beach to be properly maintained and to be kept clean and tidy. Nearby shopping facilities, shops and old houses made it more lively.

Although it’s famous in people for liquor due to UT. Mota Daman and Nani Daman are separated by Daman Ganga river. Nani Daman has a fort - St.Jerome Fort also called Nani Daman fort and a church, Church of Our Lady of the Sea. Climbing into the fort walls, we got good views of Daman port, Arabian sea as well as a grand sunset.

Small city market with some small diners and lots of wine shops.. Major resorts & hotels are in and around Nani Daman especially on the Devka beach road. Good break from the hypes of big cities.. Easily approachable from Mumbai..

the jetty, the fort, the church - nani daman is a place to smell some leisure time without thinking about the watch. You can sit at the beach side and see what others are doing

Sunset Beach at Nani Daman was highly commercialized with shops, hawkers and tents having fast food and liquors giving no importance for cleanliness Could not enjoy sunset here due to lack of serenity and untidy environment. The authorities must give top priority for cleanliness for tourist attraction and thereby the development of Daman
