The sheer size of this church (compared to other buildings in the area) is an indication that this was once a very important place. Today, there is only a ruined skeletal structure, which allows you to reconstruct the building in your head. Worth a visit to admire the scale of the place and because you can do some creative photography.

This place is hardly visited by tourists i guess, because when we headed here, we were literally the ONLY people there. This place reeks of history, of things that were. These are generally ruins but being there is an experience. It's eerily silent, yet amazing!

The Monastery as of now is just a skeletal structure of few arches and few walls. The ground has been developed into a lawn and some good looking and tended trees which gives a contrast to the otherwise dilapidated structure. If you are around the Old Light House then you can visit this place which is nearly 500 meters away within the Fort walls.

Insight into Portugal architecture.. Though major building has collapsed, the structural walls are the only standing structure.. Garden around the structure is well kept. Nice place for a small walk into the history with family.. Loved it..

This is the ruined church, only few walls are left out or the magnificent structure. Looks like it would have been a massive structure in past.

If you're into history, you can check out the Monastery. Old ruins mostly but worth one time visit when in Daman

The Dominican Monastery is a well-maintained archaeological site in Moti Daman. Located inside the Daman Fort, it can be a little tricky to find. For rought directions to this place, you can take the lane that runs parallel to the left-hand side of the Bom Jesus Church and then the first right. The monastery is located at the end of this lane. We visited the place on a Sunday and found it to be closed. When we asked a passing local, she confirmed that it is closed on Sundays. So do check before you visit it. Also, the church of Bom Jesus has a map marking all the historical sites int he Fort placed at the entrance. You can use this to explore the different sites within the fort.

Very difficult to locate this tourist spot. Was lucky as a local gentleman guided us toward this tourist spot.
As it was past 6:00 pm., the gates were closed. Did a walk around from outside the ruins. Did manage a decent photo shoot.
Although in ruins, found it really peaceful and well maintained.
A visit to this spot is justified.

It is in total ruins. It must have been such a wonderful, peace, quite and calm place at one time. I loved it although it is in ruins and felt sad at the same time. Another Portuguese built.

Lovely ruins, relatively better maintained, however you wish someone was there to explain you what it is.
