This is best attraction of Daman.
Best part of the fort is that you can travel with your vehicle in fort.
Light house and sea view from it is very beautiful.
There are multiple color houses in fort and gives different vibes.

You cannot miss this massive, impressive & beautiful fort in Daman. There are functioning government offices, two churches & a nice garden inside the fort. The fort & its interiors were built by the Portuguese. Superb views from the top of the fort. Beautifully lit up in the evening.

We visited this place while staying in Daman. It houses most of the Government offices, an old fort and old tank, a church and a beautiful garden on the banks of a river. A must visit place while in Daman.

The building has just the ouside wall. It's not maintained at all and inside there's Govt. office. I climebd and walked on the fort to find something worthwhile but there was nothing.

The Moti Daman Fort is known for its cannons that have beautiful carvings on them. The Portuguese built this fort to protect themselves from the Mughals in the 16th century...

You can explore the entire fort on foot! The Fort was truly a paradise with beautiful backdrops & no crowds. While the Fort itself is in ruins now, its original area is huge & encompasses the Government House, Dominican Monastery, the old lighthouse, government quarters etc...

The moat of the fort had a dream-like ambience! The fort parts that aren't in ruins, they have their original architecture intact. For heritage lovers, it's homecoming... The Fort was constructed in almost a 25-year period!

The Portuguese had wasted no time in starting its construction. You can feel its history through the walls... The garden was well - manicured! We were in awe of its bastions, gateways & huge walls.

Moti Daman Fort is a living fort with various monuments and government offices inside. Most notable ones are Born Jesus Church and Dominican Monastery apart from the big fort walls facing the beach and Daman port. One can spend time walking around the place and upon the Fort walls for nice time pass as well as good views.
