We were in the area and decided to visit this zoo. The zoo appeared to be in a remodeling phase but they did not tell you about this when you entered. The zoo was clean and but is in desperate need of the remodeling and updating.

I haven't been to this zoo for years, I have been wanting to visit for a long time. Finally got to get away and I'm so happy this little place is still here and doing more and more for animals. Great place to spend an afternoon! I love how the lady at the front desk refered to the animal like... More

Pleasant zoo in a small town. Some construction being done, but the animals don't seem to mind. $2.50 for adults $1.50 for kids. They have bald eagles, monkeys, gators, wolves, a bear, a cougar and more! Nice way to spend a couple of hours. If you have small kids be sure to spend time at the great park and ride... More

It is always a pleasure to come to this small park. The elderly lady who opens up the park and runs the office/gift shop is always pleasant and helpful. The rest of the staff are also friendly. We are glad to see they are in the process of building a new primate facility as well. We plan on coming back... More

It cost 8 dollars for a family of four. Not very big but a great time all the same. Very nice exhibits. Definitely worth the time and money. Would love to go back.

A smaller zoo in southern New Mexico. We spent less than 2 hours walking around the entire park. Favorite part was the duck pond that had a few turtles in it.

We were visiting family in town so we took the kids ages 8 and 6 here to visit. It's a actually a nice facility for a smaller town. Try to go first thing in the morning when it's cooler out. The animals are less active and visible in the heat of the day.

Lived in Alamogordo since 2009 (It's 2016 as I write this), and had never visited the zoo until grand kids came to visit. I'm giving it an average rating only because it's not much compared to other zoos, but that made no difference to my grand daughters, who loved it. It's really quite a nice zoo for a city of... Go early. The earlier the better as the animals are out. A small zoo, but very nice for it's size. Animals are very visible and many have no fear of humans. The aviary was excellent and got some great photos.. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable
