If you’re in the area, definitely check out this zoo. We were visiting friends in Las Cruses, and they took us up to Alamogordo. It’s a gorgeous drive, through a mountain pass to get there. You can tell the people running the zoo are committed...More

This is a very nice little zoo. They have a nice wooden walkway through their aviary area that's made up to be an edge area with water running through it. One bird in particular to see is the Golden Pheasant. It has spectacular coloring!

It’s only $2.50 to get in and it really is worth it. The zoo is small, but the animals were out and fun to watch. Definitely a good way to pass a couple of hours.

What a neat little zoo! There was a good variety of animals. I especially enjoyed the bird enclosure. Admission is inexpensive and about an hour was adequate to look around. The enclosures are basically cages, but they are large and you can see the effort...More

I really like this zoo. Sometimes, it's hard to find inexpensive things to do when traveling, but this is right up my alley because it cost $2.50 a person. They have interesting animals that look well taken care of, and the park is always clean....More

Great little zoo with options to feed the ducks/turtles, see New Mexico wildlife along with exotic animals, a park to picnic in, and a playground for the kids. Surrounded by a fence, parents can let their children roam free and not worry about them. Very...More

I was pleasantly surprised when we first moved here. The zoo is very well kept, the animals well cared for and with the new monkey exhibit, it's a perfect little zoo. We love coming here in the summer to walk around under the trees. It's...More

We came to Alamogordo to visit our grandkids who are 1 and 3. This zoo is perfect for young kids. We rented a stroller that was pretty old, but it worked fine and the girls enjoyed the bumpy ride. There isn't a lot of animals,...More

I don't think they rent wheel chairs there, but it appears to be fairly wheelchair friendly with all flat land and concrete walks. I hope this helps.
