We came from Daman in a short tour and took a chance to see the lion-lioness.We could see the lone lioness in a good mood infront of a bamboo-tree.After lot of hassel and expenditure,I could see the tail of a lion in Gir from where this very animal was brought. As a lone animal, she appeared depressed to me.

Not quite a good experience
Oct 2019
This Place is only accepting cards, no cash.

We have visited in October 2019 & Only one lioness were there.

At booking counter only one person is sitting, he is registering ur name & then he will call u for making payment. Avoid going there during holidays, as it will take 2 hours for payment.

Its recommended, if you have your own vehicles, as local rickshaw valas will loot you. they will charge anything. From silvassa tribal Museum this place is hadly 10kms but they will charge you 300 rupees for return & 200 rupees for single journey.

Closed for rains !
Oct 2019
Our first stop was the Vasona Lion safari by 10 AM. However, they said the Gir lions can be seen only by 11 AM. Instead of waiting, we then reached Deer park - which was closed because of rains.

Tried our luck at Vasona Lion safari and because of continuous drizzling, the safari was closed. Never heard of 1 km safari closed for rains !

If one wishes to watch lions in Gujarat near Southern part of it then this ia an option rather travelling all the way to Saurasthra, though it has limited numbers of Lions.

A must visit place in Silvassa for wildlife enthusiasts
Jul 2018 • Family
Had visited this Lion park in Silvassa a long back ago. This Lion park is located at Vasona village in Silvassa and is a tourist attraction.

This Lion park has a thatched huts having a ticket counter, waiting room for the tourists etc. The entry fee is Rs. 25 per person. There is a mini bus that takes the tourists for a mini safari to show the lionesses. Only 2 lionesses were seen from a far distance either resting or guarding. This safari just lasted for 10 mins. There are some tourist information about the Lion safari. It is visited by locals and tourists from other parts of the country.

This Lion park is ideal for families as well as friends. It is a must visit for those interested in wildlife.

Just one solitary lion
Jun 2019 • Family
The title says it all. It is a 15 minute ride in the park, in a either a big bus or a small traveller - okayish comfort unless you are vistiing on hot days. The park would have been good had it had a few more lions, but the bus driver told us that there was only one, which we saw. Note: Entry is just Rs 25 but they do not accept cash and has to be card payments
