Great place to have a walk. Seeing architectural masterpieces..Pride of Chandigarh. The architecture of the buildings is amazing which intrigues even those who doesn't have any knowledge in Architectural domain. The tour duration is around 1 and half hour which is by walk. The view from the top of the Secretariat is just awesome.

Good example of Chandigarh architecture with its specificities related to brutalism

Intriguing architecture

In a city known for its architecture, this is another building which has a different architecture. Worth visiting if you are in this part of the city.

At the assembly hall
Jan 2016 • Couples
The seat of the elected Government officials. Air cooled by the water present in the ponds in front of it. Great creation about the sound. absolutely no echo of the sound in this closed space. The dome on the top can be moved to allow sun light to fall inside (narrated to me on the sunlight comment) le corbusier designed original seats are still being used by the members in the assembly hall.

Good attraction

We saw the palace of assembly as part of a free tour of the capital complex . You are taken in to the assembly where you can see where they gather . See the original furniture and chairs . Nice for art and historians . No mobile phones or cameras allowed. . Go early as there is a tour 3 times day. Take your passport.

Landmark design by Le Corbusier
Feb 2015 • Family
Situated with the Capitol Hill complex the profile of this law forming monument epitomizes stately grandeur. Square in plan, with a monumental portico standing free from the main building it faces the high court. The shape of the cupola is an obliquely truncated hyperbolic parabolic extending well above the roof line. A pyramid covers the upper chamber of the erstwhile bicacameral system and offers an exciting counterpoint to the cupola lending artistic grace to the entire complex
