I contacted Chandigarh Walkers 2 days ahead of my trip and got a quick reply. They accommodated my request for Sunday am which was all the time I had for the architectural tour. It was just me and guide Vicky and an assistant. We visited parks, museums, war memorial, Le Corbusier’s house, Open hand monument, Supreme Court, the lakefront etc. Guide provided lots of interesting info and was very easy going. At the end of the enjoyable 3 hrs, we went to Gopal’s, for fantastic fresh snacks and sweets. I bought some for family, and treats were enjoyed by all. I recommend the tour, cost was reasonable and it was a great way to get an overview of Chandigarh.

It is the perfect to-go place if you are new or visiting. The team helps you experience the real flavor of Chandigarh. We love walking tours and we were eager to try the Original Chandigarh tour. The team did oblige us after a short notice and it was a tour that showed us the unexplored Chandigarh. The tour was done at a relaxing pace and the tour leader explained in detail the city's history and architecture apart from spending time at the gardens. The best part was seeing a traditional wrestling akhara. Overall a good experience.

I was in Chandigarh for a weekend and wanted an architectural tour. Chandigarh walkers accommodated my last minute request very well. Sapna tailored my tour to my interests, and was very informative. I had a great time visiting the architectural museum and le corbusier center with her, and she took me through parts of leisure valley, to the open hand, and the rock garden. We couldn't see much of the capitol complex because it was the weekend, but I knew that going in. I appreciated having such a well informed guide to Chandigarh's unique heritage. I also appreciated that Sapna was so willing and even happy to do this walking tour with me in the heat of mid-day in the summer!

I spotted these guys on TripAdvisor prior to going to Chandigarh, and as I was going to be on my own, the prospect of a walking tour with a local ticked all the boxes. Not only was I to get a city tour, doing it with a local was a far better way than simply referring to a guide book.

I chose to do the Architectural Walking Tour and was met by Sapna, who took me to a variety of sites and places of interest. The Le Corbusier Centre is a great place to understand the design and creation of Chandigarh, as it houses a lot of historical plans and photos from the start of the city.

The Doll Museum didn't really work for me, but it may well appeal to others. Personally I couldn't see the relevance to the Architectural history of the city and I would have been happy to have missed it out.

The museum and art gallery are very impressive and I certainly could have spent more time there.

The Rose Garden is the biggest of its kind I've seen and it was spectacular, but sadly too hot to explore in detail. Well worth a view though, particularly if you're into horticulture.

The star of the show was the Rock Garden. I was fully prepared to be totally underwhelmed, but I was surprised and delighted about how good it was. There were a few areas where stagnant water encouraged a lot of mosquitos, but I was using repellent and wasn't bitten. The Rock Garden really is a great place to visit and made the whole tour worthwhile.

The guide Sapna was very knowledgeable and friendly. The communication and planning with the folks at Chandigarh Walkers was very efficient and responsive before the tour.

I'd certainly recommend these guys based on my experience, and particularly if you're on your own.

Im so glad to take my first walking tour ever in Chandigarh! Our guides were nice. We opted for food and original Chandi walks combined. After Goa it was a great exploration of real India. I loved the cafe next to the gardens, still remember the taste of snacks..Thank you guys, good luck to you!! :)

First time doing a tourist view of Chandigarh. Took part in the evening food tour and walking tour. Sapna was a great guide during both tours. We tried different local foods, to much food for me to eat and had to leave the tour early.
The walking tour was great, started at rose garden, walking through other parks and ended up at sukhna lake.
Definitely recommend for first timers to India.

I wanted to explore Chandigarh for a day and Chandigarh Walkers' day walking tour did provide me such an oppurtunity. The tour leaders knew about the city and they had the patience to show most of the places in the city. I also tried some of the Indian snacks in the tour and it was probably one of the best walking tours during my India visit. Keep it up, Chandigarh Walkers.
