A place to sit down and reflect. The path is worth a view. The prasad of laddoo is tasty. Get a handful for your relatives at home and for yourself.

Peace and calm place. Travel to this hill place by car in the rainy season is very exciting. This place has lot of positive energy which you can make out immediately after you enter the main entrance.

From R.T.C complex: 6 A/H Direct bus to hill temple. You have to place ur slippers and camera in paid racks . Thus no clicks are allowed in temple interior. Only thats what disappointing but its ok because be go for pray.

Some Questions for Locals (3 Replies)
Hi guys, I'd appreciate it if you guys can help me with some questions that I have: 1. Dolphin's Nose: Can you hike all the way up, is it going to be an easy one or is it not much of a challenge? 2. Why is the statue of Simhachalam Temple is covered in sandalwood paste? Is there a reason behind it? 3. When the paste is removed for Chandana Visarjana, is it only for one day or is it going to be for a period of time? Thank you in advance for your help! :)

I can answer the first question. Not sure about the other two... You can hike along the two roads going upto Dolphin's nose. One road starts from Malkapuram side and other from Gannavaram port side. Keep in mind you need to go to the top of the hill and cross over to the other side and go down to the beach which is pretty long distance apart from the rise in elevation. So I guess it is not goinf to be easy unless you are used to this kind of things. Maybe someone who has done this hike can...More

Hi, Once you are out of the airport, it should not take more than 2 hrs to reach Simhachalam, complete darshan, and return to railway station on days when the temple does not have rush. However, this is possible if you have a cab at your disposal. So plan accordingly.
