We booked a tour with Aptdc on 17 January to visit Borra caves ,situated in Anantagiri hills.,Vizag .It was a well organized trip, partly by train ,upto Araku valley , and further by bus . They serve breakfast, lunch and tea. On the way we were taken to a botanical garden and entertained to a tribal dance and also visited... More

A unique natural cave, with dedicated Government work for decades to make it more attractive and user friendly for tourists. A must see for tourists on a Vizag trip.

Well you can fully experience how a cave looks like. Dark Place, thrilling routes, noise of bats and excitement of visitors makes the place a good visit.

Travelled in a different era in borra caves. Imaginary shapes of natural rock seem real. The frozen sulphur dropping gave a different perspective to my pictures. The dark lanes, small caves and the mystery around them made the trip so much thrilling. Try visiting on weekdays to avoid rush, reach there by train to experience passing from tunnels. Must visit... It was an amazing experience to visit Borra Caves with my family. I booked one day Araku tour with APTDC (Rs 850/head, including train ticket, breakfast, lunch and Bus ticket). However, as I gained experience, I would suggest other to visit by themselves only to Borra Caves by train in both ways. It will save a lot of money and... More

This place is awesome. Its 90kms appx 2 and half hrs away from Vizag. You need some stamina to walk down 200 to 300 steps down and then up while returning but worth the effort needed. It takes around 1to 2 hrs to complete Cave visit as you start your journey down. Toilets and facilities are outside as you start. Inside... More

This is a must see. In fact in Vizag, I would rate this as the #1 item to see. Araku valley has nothing as such but for this cave. It's one thing, you read about caves in books, completely different to experience it. I was totally amazed looking at the vastness of the caves. Also the patterns generated through repeated... More

one should visit at least once while in Vizag. It can be soul reason to take Araku trip. It is a purely natural cave where colored lights have been place beautifully. Caution : to visit full cave one need to be physically fit. lots of stairs are there.
