Lord Venkateshwara in "Abhaya Hastha"
Sep 2021
The deity, Sri Prasanna Venkateswaraswami, is holding is right hand up in a blessing position. This is called "Abhaya Hastha" in Sanskrit. It is believed God grants any wishes of his devotees here. As per Stala Puranam (history of the place) Lord Venkateshwara stayed in this place for 6 months with Padmavati Ammavaru post his marriage.

The temple is under the control of TTD Administration. The temple is very well maintained. You get a sense of satisfaction after seeing the deity here. Do visit this place and schedule it compulsorily in your trip to Tirupati.

APSRTC buses ply to this place from Tirupati bus stand. You can hire taxi, autos also to this place from Tirupati. It is about 16kms from Tirupati Bus Stand. You need to passby Thiruchanoor Padmavati Ammavaru Temple enroute to this place. So, plan your trip in such a way that you can visit both these temples. Enquire locally or with TTD Officials the Temple opening and closing time .

A temple in plains for Lord Balaji close to Tirupati town
Dec 2019
This temple has Lord Balaji as presiding deity and the Lord here almost resembles the Lord at Tirumala temple. Located in a village about 20 KMs from Tirupati , this temple also attracts lots of pilgrims. This is also an ancient temple with history.

Very peaceful holy place
Sep 2019
Visited this temple during our last visit to Tirupati. It is a large temple and houses shrines of Lord Venkateshwara, Goddess Lakshmi and Goda Devi (Andal). The specialty of this temple is that Lord Venkateshwara's bottom right hand is in the 'prasanna mudra' (pointing up) and not 'varadha mudra' (pointing to HIS lotus feet) as in Tirumala.

There is a local belief that people perform 9 circumambulations first to the deity and wish for something. They come back after their wish is fulfilled and do another set of 9 circumambulations.

Overall this place is very peaceful and the Archa murthy (idol) of Lord Venkateshwara is very attractive and fills the devotees' hearts with pleasantness.

one should spend time here
Mar 2019 • Family
Generally we feel that we dont see god for enough time at Tirumala but here you can have lengthy Darshan, which is blissful.
Also, you can book and perform kalyanam here through TTD website ttdsevaonline.
god here displays Abhayahastam unlike other venkateshwara swami temples.
well maintained, clean place.

Lords own place
Jul 2018 • Family
The place is around 35, 36 kilometres from Tirupati, plenty of buses are available from Tirupati if you are planning to visit Srikalahasti, then this place is just 10 kilometres from there. We went via Srikalahasti.

The lord is beautiful , no queue , darshan is peaceful , Abishekam on Fridays can be witnessed if tickets are purchased before 6 a.m , ritual starts at 7 am it's for one hour . There are sub shrines for maa Padmavati and Maa Andal inside the temple complex . A small temple for Sri Anjaneya Swami is also situated opposite this temple . It's between puttur and tgiruchanoor after vadamalpet .

Worth a visit -Lord Venkataswera with Abhaya Hastam
Jun 2018 • Couples
Around 15 kms from Tirupati , this temple has an exact replica of the Lord Balaji in main Tirumala temple but with Abhaya hastam instead of Varada hastam. The temple is not as crowded the main Tirumala temple and you can have a peaceful darshan -well worth a visit if are visiting Tirupathi.

The lord can be worshipped in peace , he is verily present here , he along with maa padmavati have darshan to sapta rishis , Tuesdays asthta dala pada padmaradana is done , Fridays abisekam is done at 7 , we need to be here by 6 to get tickets ( costing 30 each ) , dhoti compulsory . Lord is beautiful here . The anjaneya swami temple opposite is also too good . This temple is after vadamalpet on the old Tirupati route .
