Neighborhood: Ramoji Film City
Home to the world’s largest film studio complex according to the Guinness Book of World Records, the magical and magnificent Ramoji Film City has developed into a neighbourhood with its own unique charm that attracts millions of tourists who drive 34 km outskirts of Hyderabad to watch Tollywood movie sets and film actors at work. Spread over 1500 acres, this massive film city is dotted with vast gardens, large kitschy statues, replicas of popular historical monuments, open-air film sets, multi-cuisine restaurants, fast food joints and stylish cafes. You can spend an entire day here and choose to stay back in the 5-star and 7-star hotels in the film city. Head to the hilltop from where you can get spectacular views of the entire film city. On your way back, drive through the nearby Pochampally, a cluster of villages that is famous for its Ikat style of weaving for some traditional Hyderabad handloom shopping.

    nice experience
Me and my family visited Ramoji Film City during the festive season of Dussehra. The room rates were higher than usual due to the season, but the experience was well worth it. Our accommodation was at Shanthi Nikethan, within the film city. Ramoji Film City is vast to cover conveniently in one day. Hence it is recommended for non residents to take a two day package. Opting for the two-day package with the star experience helps explore movie sets with ease, and bypass queues at various shows. There are variety of activities, ranging from adventurous activities to nature oriented parks, and technology-driven shows. Kids aged 5 and above will definitely like it. The friendly and supportive staff further enhanced our overall experience. As for areas for improvement, there's little to mention. Our stay at Shanthi Nikethan, though delightful, had us traveling to Tara Hotel, about 1 km away, for breakfast. For future visitors, it's essential to note that Ramoji Film City is far away from Hyderabad city and the airport, with more than an hours drive. Those relying on flights should plan accordingly, keeping airport transfers in mind account to reach airport on time. Having city tours from the place would also be an overhead.
Dear Anil Natarajan, Thank you for your Wonderful review! We're thrilled you had a fantastic time at Ramoji Film City. We aim to provide unforgettable experiences, and we're delighted that we met your expectations. Hope to see you again soon for more fun and excitement! Don't miss out on the opportunity of going to Ramoji Film City #justgoforit
The Ramoji Film City was an exhilarating experience. I did not expect Ramoji to be so well curated. The scenes and natural beauty are serene. All the sets are well maintained and beautiful. You actually feel as if you are a part of the set. The entire staff, from the guides to the security guards were co-operative and helpful. I was truly in awe by looking at all these sets. Movie magic was conducted nicely and the entire program was curated beautifully. We happened to go when Ramoji was celebrating 110 years of Bollywood movies. They had a grand celebration and an amazing performance. I was truly left in awe after this show. Even the bird park and bonsai park was a beautiful sight to behold. I feel that Ramoji Film City was worth it and their high ticket prices are justified after looking at the amount of maintenance such a vast place requires. Everything was at peak maintenance, from the grass at the parks to the restrooms. There are RO water purifiers at every location and clean and hygienic restrooms. No need to book tickets in advance, scan the QR code at the ticket counter and book it then and there
Dear Guest, Thank you so much for the 5-star review. We appreciate your help in sharing the word about Ramoji Film City. It gives us immense pleasure to know you had a great time and a memorable visit. We take pride in providing a unique and immersive experience for everyone. Great Gateway for Family
This is larger than life park for everyone to visit. I have visited few theme parks outside India. Ramoji film city is as good as any forign theme park. It is very well planned. They have planned tour where you will be taken by Bus everywhere. Try booking online and be there as early as possible. by 9:30 then you will be able to cover most of the park. Even though there are buses expect for long walks in attractions. Bahubali Set is very real life. Food portion is little too much so don't go by regular order side. like we (2 adults and 2 kids) could not finish one Bhallaladeva dosa. Plan to attend all shows like space Yatri, Film Show, Wild Wild West. Fundustan is very nice for kids. Don't leave before dark. In the evening everything looks very beautiful because of lights. Please take your time. There are enough places to eat. Food is little overrates but as outside food is not allowed there is no choice but to have it. If you not saying inside it is very difficult to get cab back to city as all ola, uber drivers wait outside and keep cancelling booking and they will take you in almost double price. like Ola was 600 rs but he charged us 1400. So make some arrangements early for return journey back to city.

    One word- Amazing service!
Hotel Sitara may seem like a property with an old school charm but their systems and service are very current. We held our annual event at the hotel and they did not skimp on the service and ideas. Their service heads are clear about the responsibilities and their response times are quick. Must also mention that its a beautiful property with the tastiest food. A very special mention to Chef Naresh for curating the loveliest menu, Pritam and Shakeel for excellent banquet management, Ram for hand holding us to make a great event possible and last but not the least Mr. Hari and Mr. Zillani for everything else that went right. A big shout out to the entire team for their amazing service and coordination. Thnak you team Ramoji.
Dear AnumatiJ, Thank you for visiting Ramoji Film City and choosing Sitara Luxury Hotel for your Annual Event. We're happy that we could contribute to making your meeting a memorable and enjoyable experience. Thank you also for highlighting the excellence of our hospitality and delicious food. We will pass on your compliments to our staff members and look forward to welcoming you back soon. Warm Regards, Guest Experience Team, Ramoji Film City

Film city experience Hyderabad for one day.
Ramoji film city is one of the attractions in Hyderabad tour. It’s nearly an hour ride from city center. They have accommodation in different price ranges through which you can come previous day rest and start tour fresh with proper complementary breakfast. Also there are benefits when you buy combo tickets, if you are out station explorer you will need a stay definitely. In my opinion non ac, red signature bus best and AC tour is a waste. That ride is fun and enjoyable. One time you can visit all the places and you get tired as it’s pretty hot. I don’t know if there is ideal season to visit here. That was my experience mid August on a cloudy/sunny day. Bus tour our guy was nice. At film city what I liked most in the order: Only impressive thing I found is Wild West Stunt show. All artist and timing was awesome. It is matchable with universal studios stunt show. (I forgot the name) The artists needs a big round of applause 👏 Rest all average and time pass. Even though it’s one of best things to do in Hyderabad Other than that, filmy dhunia is out dated for the era. People are making reels, audios and story telling in less than 60 seconds. Though the host of the show had nice voice and it was well presented. The space show without 3d is very boring. It doesn’t bring real effects. Restaurant had less options and expensive not matching with the quality. The photo these wecapture people take it is just again money looting idea. Definitely the stunt artist need standing ovation for their performance no doubt.

Ramoji Film City is an extraordinary place to visit, especially if you're a movie buff! Spanning over 1600+ acres, it offers a unique glimpse into the world of filmmaking with its impressive sets and exhibits. One of the highlights of the visit was the Bahubali set, where you can see the majestic Mahishmati Kingdom up close—truly a surreal experience! The entire film city is well-organized, with Ramoji buses conveniently available at every stop to take you around. You'll need a full day to explore all the attractions, so plan accordingly. Bargain day out!
Spent 6 hours here and could have easily done longer. It’s a bit of of the way but plenty of Uber’s about that will take you and it was easy to get on back into the centre. Super cheap for food and lots of food venues dotted about.

We had visited Ramoji Film City on a day tour during our holiday in Hyderabad. We had booked tickets online through Makemytrip priced at 1150 rupees per person and collected physical tickets from the counter at Ramoji Film City. Once inside the gate, a bus took us to the actual amusement park area. There was a grand welcome show with song and dance at 9.45 am. Next we boarded their red bus for a grand tour which took us to different locations like Bahubali movie set, Japanese Gardens, London street, Butterfly park, Bird park, Kripalu caves and many more. In the 2nd half we attended different mind boggling shows out of which the best was the Spirit of Ramoji show. In between we squeezed time for burgers and fries. To sum it up, this was surely one of the great experience to cherish for a lifetime.

Ramoji film city is all about the movies, shooting spots and movie sets that include many popular hit movies. Even Bahubali set also can be viewed. Enjoyed the complete day. Inside the studio they provide vintage style buses to cover all the studio for free of cost( There is no fee for inside buses). There are many new things. Apartment style structures readylily avaialble for shootings. Village style set that has small houses. Foodcourt is good. The food is also good. There are two star hotels called Tara and Sitara. There is Airoplane and airport set, Railway station set with train and railway station. These are only things that you must not miss to visit.

This is a worthwhile 1.5 hr roadtrip from the city Centre if you're 1. A big Bollywood fan or 2. You're a child.
I am a Bollywood fan but not a fanatic, and found this tour to be worthwhile and quite a pleasant way to spend an afternoon in Hyderbadh.
I enjoyed the fact that there is a lot more to do than merely tour a film studio. Mr Ramoji Rao clearly is an entrepreneur who knows how to bring in the crowds, and this can be a most enjoyable trip for a family with young kids, with the very attractive amusement park, Eureka and Fundustan; the Ramoji Movie Magic section with its Filmmaking experience, Eyelusion Gallery, Black Light show, Stunt show; as well as a bird park and butterfly garden, and a Japanese and bonsai garden, being just a few of the numerous immaculate gardens dotted around the grounds.
We visited now during the last week of the "Longest Winter Fest", which ran from 13 Dec and which will end on 26 Jan; hence the visiting crowds reasonably large, but clearly thinning out at this time, hence thankfully not having to queue for tickets.
The bus tours offered between 10am - 5pm are very well organized, allowing one to cover the grounds of the entire film city in pretty much 4 - 5 hours.
I thought this was more than enough time, but was rather disappointed that the tour guides only spoke in Hindi, and there was no attempt at all to accommodate us foreigners.
Should you want to experience this park fully, one can book a night at one of Ramoji's hotels and then have more than enough time to experience the various carnival shows and dance performances which take place after the park has closed.
No doubt, there is a lot to see, do and experience at Ramoji's Wonderland for anyone; whether you're a Bollywood fan, a local tourist, a child, or merely just a foreigner wanting to see how Ramoji the Magician transformed 1666 Ha of land into the World's Largest Film City!

It's an excellent creation by a person. Very vast area. You should reserve your tickets in advance via online and should reach there by 9am. U have to use there bus [a/c and non a/c] for reaching the film city from the front office. To view the entire place you had to stay for 2 days. Food quality is average and that too buffet in noon. Limited menu. Also guides need to be improved. We won't get enough time to enjoy the trip as they where rushing us to the next exhibit. Also photos were taken by professional people but getting the copies is very difficult and that too with very high price. Plan to stay for 2 days in their hotel and they will show the whole place with priority.

i visited this place three times in last 10 years because you will never feel bored with this place.really amazing place to visit with your family i am mentioning family because alone you will not enjoy the fullest.i visited the place in the month of december,i will recommend everyone to vsit in dec last week or january first week because in this time they do special events for new year celebration.the place is really very neat and clean and the events are awesome.entry time is 8am and closing time depends upon events varies between 7pm to 8pm,please reconfirm with official website about the timings.you will find everything there like fake movie shooting, fake railway plateform, airport and if you are lucky enough than u can see live shooting of a movie.in 12 hours of journey inside the ramoji premises u will not get bored for a single moment.i will not recommend this place if someone is ill or having issue with long walking as in many places you have to walk alot because during site seeing you have to walk where bus can not proceed.overall in my opinion this is the place where everyone should go at least once in his lifetime.

Caves, wild west, birds show, and space yatra good shows
But
Buses force you to go from one spot to anther and there is no option to go directly to the starting point
I would specifically call out Sangam restaurant that forces one to pay rs350/head for unlimited food!! They need to learn from Chowki Dhani, Jaipur how unlimited food is served!! They go around the tables to serve people and people eating dont have to go again n again to get smthing! Worst is on reaching the buffet spot, you may not even find the dish you came for 🫤. Plus, Ramuji and family, when you source out to these caterers do you even chk what they are serving and how? Do you eat rasam in a thali at your home?

My suggestion.. ramuji and family, plz come to this place as a tourist and then share your review as well!!!

This is a massive film city and studio complex with open-air film sets, vast gardens, replicas of historical monuments, statues. Liked the Bahubali set.
Though there are a number of restaurants and fast food options, it is inadequate keeping in mind the vastness of the complex.
A pressing need for more drinking water stations as walking around the whole day can be very exhausting.
Mist fans should be installed for respite from heat.
The route options of buses lack clarity.
One should budget an extra day, recommend night stay at the hotels in the complex for more leisurely experience.

Must to do while you are in Hyderabad. Plan one full day activity as so much things to see and activities to do.
This place entertainers not only kids and teenagers but to all age groups.

Well organized guided tour and memorable experience from the moment you step in until you leave the place. Whole property is very well maintained. Plenty of photo options for photography lovers.

While we come across each sets it reminds of some movie of any Indian language. Highlight is Bahubaali set for our group. Lot of walking involved inside but great experience.

Definitely with high standards and competitive comparison with other similar concept around the world.

It was not really fully crowded probably because of school examinations time and week day as well. Great memorable experience.

Descent food options available inside at decent price range.

Definitely 5 stars and each penny worth spending.

Ramoji Film City is a wonderful experience and a must visit. I'll list down some delighters and things that can be improved based on my experience. Pros first
1. Lots of things to do and experiences to have.
2. The shows are very impressive. Spirit of Ramoji, Wild West were in particular very nice.
3. There were a good amount of rides for children and adults to enjoy.
4. The eco park was very good, especially the bonsai collection was amazing to see.
5. Haunted house was a good experience for kids.
Things that can be improved
1. The brochure was very confusing. There is no way you can cover all the things in Ramoji in a day, so the brochure should give more detailed information which helps the people to choose based on their interest.
2. We took the star experience package which was the more expensive one. However they kept passing us from one person to other person without anyone explaining what is the plan for the day. Even on asking they were not interested to answer and just kept pointing to someone else. It felt we missed out on lots of things simply because no-body told us. Also the bus was so overcrowded that everyone did not even got a seat and lots of time was wasted in sorting that out. The star experience didn't feel worth the money and I felt I would have been better off with a regular ticket and planning the day myself, rather than leaving it to the star experience providers.
3. Don't think this falls under the jurisdiction of Ramoji, but the travel to and from Ramoji was a big headache. We booked a ticket via BestBus which seemed to show on their site that they are the official partners with Ramoji. However it was a bad experience, as they kept asking us to change pickup point without realizing how difficult it would be for someone to reach different pickup point at short notice. Even while drooping off they didn't drop us at our designated dropping point. I would strongly suggest giving BESTBUS a skip and find another option to reach there.

It is a full day tour. About 40 km from Hyderabad. The largest film city complex in the world. The owners of film city also organize tours for guests for the huge complex. Tours from around 9 am to 530 pm. We took a Star experience tour. Booked online in advance from their website. ( they have a toll free number as well for any enquiries) . It is a guided tour of the grounds, sets and the special shows. The advantage is that this tour is communicating in a AC bus. Which was definitely a comfort for us. It includes a buffet lunch- which was ok. If you need, the organizers also arrange a bus pick up and drop from various points in Hyderabad. But depending on your pick up location. It can be a 2 hour ride in the bus to the film city. We hired a taxi for full day. ( abt Rs 3000 for the day). We reached a bit before 10 am. It is recommended to reach by 9 am as they ask to, as the tour definitely ends at 530pm. We did notice that for return to Hyderabad in the evening there are stalls at film city for return transport , but do not know the charge? ( in case you only take a drop to film city by own transport).
You can visit the film city without booking any of the tour package as well. It will be a walk in for the tickets. We noticed that these are quite crowded as a group.

If you have visited any such film city tours abroad, say in Singapore or San Francisco, these are very much of a very high standard and quality in thrills and excitement and experience as compared to Ramoji.
But in India, it is surely one a kind.
Tour includes, rides, walk through bird parks, gardens, visit film sets, walk through film sets and shows. The latter include a dance and song show as well.
Our tour was very well set up and organised.
