We went there by Uber. The driver dropped us of at one end where there wereca number of jewelry shops and less pedestrians. The Charminar was in the middle of chaotic street sellers and tourists. Once we reached the entrance, less people were inside. Climbing up uneven staircase of 52 steps, I can view nice scenes of streets below.

Had to come to Hyderabad for a conference and this was highly recommended. Beautiful building but the vicinity is really crowded as it’s very close to the bazaar. The weather in December is really nice though I’d caution to wear a mask and watch your belongings.

Visit to this iconic structure in Hyderabad is a must for any tourist as one can get to know of the heritage of this place as also of the cultural cohesion. One can bargain for some nice souvenirs for family and friends. Food stalls and restaurants are also good.

Apna Charminar is the landmark to identify Hyderabad. Bustling with local sellers selling bangles, clothes, souvenirs and tourists from all parts of India marvelling at the ancient structure. Crowded especially on weekends in evenings and nice to enjoy the Nizami vibes of old Hyderabad!

Very nice historical place ..the 4 pillars in Urdu char Minar ..many attractions near by , shops restaurants coffee shops. To the west lies the Laad Bazaar, and to the southwest lies the richly ornamented Makkah Masjid... Highly recommend..

A very fine example of architecture. really liked the way it is built, but small suggestion its not maintained well. there are lot shops nearby which a variety of Hyderabadi cuisine. I was here to try the famous Hyderabadi biryani.

While Charminar is a significant cultural and tourist attraction, the surrounding markets and congestion have created an environment that is increasingly difficult for both visitors and locals to navigate. The markets in the area are severely overcrowded, making it arduous for people to move freely. This overcrowding not only diminishes the overall experience but also raises serious safety and accessibility concerns. The sheer volume of pedestrian and vehicle traffic is overwhelming and poses risks to those trying to explore this iconic site.

Charminar is an iconic monument for Hyderabad. It is in old city where traffic congestion is very high. Try to visit early morning or late night to avoid traffic. No entry ticket is required. U can't go up but see from the down only. The small market around is very vibrant and colorful to buy some souvenir items like famous hand bangles . You can drink Tea with bread Pau and cake from the old famous shops for an experience. Also famous Hyderabadi Biryani u can try here. There is an old Hindu Devi Temple next to the charminar which signifies the culture of religious coexistence.. Salute to My Nation for National integration.
