Don't miss visiting this park in Port Blair. It will take only little of your time to visit this park but let me tell you that the statue of Mahatma Gandhi in this park is just awesome & the best i have ever seen. I looks so real. The place is peaceful & good to visit in the evening.

A very big park within the city of PortBlair. A big water body inside the park has added beauty to the park. Lot of trees in the park. A few rides for the children attracts families to the park.

Went there on a Sunday morning to waste some time and beat the heat. A calm park with a lake and many birds. There is even a toy train for children but wasn't open in the morning.
Coming from Chennai, I wished that we had parks like this back home.

This place is not meant for tourists.
Good place for locals to get relaxed and walk around.
Don't mix up something good for locals and tourists.

This park is quite large with a huge lake surrounding it with colourful lily flowers as well as a Japanese temple and garden together with a tall golden statue of Mahatma Gandhi located on the tall hill near the centre of the park. This park is ideal for parents with children especially at night when the rides open, but probably not for elderly people with walking difficulties or for those who are not interested in plants and gardens. Ground can be rocky and uneven in some places so take care when walking around the park.

Gandhi Park located close to Air India office is a decent evening outing for the entire family. The park also has a lake that offers boating, in addition to a few rides for both adults and kids and normal park activities like swings, slides etc for small children. It also has a Gandhi statue to justify its name. Do check out the Japanese mini attraction in the centre of the park. There is a walkway all around the lake which is good for joggers and health conscious walkers.
