Spice farms spread on vast land 50-60 acres just on outskirts of Port Blair City
Feb 2020
It's a typical Spice Plantations aite managed by the government authorities. They grow local spices along with medicinal plants & herbs. Vast area, probably more than 50-60 acres. Spend about 1-2 hours. Nice information shared by the Manager about this place during our visit. It is on way to Wandoor, almost 15-18 Kms from the Port Blair City. Can be accessed by local bus, but only during daytime. Last bus probably, up to 7 pm. Spices & herbs are offered for sale too.

Very cool horticulture and farming
Feb 2020
If you like flowers, plants, farming this is a cool place to visit. They had some spices you could buy that they cultivate on the farm. Beware that the buses only run for certain hours and you either need to be on it (leaves early afternoon) or have a car/taxi waiting.

Best home-grown spices
Jan 2019 • Friends
The farm has vast areas of land under spice-herbs cultivation. We were not allowed to touch any plant here. However, before exiting, we were offered Masala Tea by the farm-manager.

Spice heaven

The farm is on the way to wandoor. You can easily spend 2 hours on the farm and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the place. You can see the plants and sit under the clove tree on the bench provided. It is really peaceful but beware of red ants. On the way to exit you can purchase the spices. A basket of all the spices cost Rs. 300. Pure coconut oil is also available.

This farm is owned by Directorate of Agriculture, Andaman and Nicobar Administration. It has good collection of local varieties of fruit bearing trees and plants. There is a sale counter which sells locally grown spices. God quality Cinnamon, Clove and Nutmeg are available for sale.
