To learn about the history of humans and tribes
Jan 2021 • Family
Spread over 3 floors, it has basic information about homosapiens, and the seven tribes of Andaman and Nicobar. It would be good for children to visit. One can leisurely cover this in 40 minutes.

Offers closer look into lives of the tribals - original natives of the islands
Feb 2020
A small yet enthralling museum that offers closer look into the lives of the tribals - original natives of these islands. Some of them are natives since last 50000 years. It is close to the Dir of Tourism's office that issues permits for Ross Island, Laser Show, Jolly Buoy island etc. Spend about 1 hour at this amazing museum. Also visit Samudrika Marine Museum at Delanipur area of the city. Rest museums can be skipped.

A must visit place, if you wish to understand the history, people and culture of Andaman islands and are not just a beach tourist. The museum has a great collection of artefacts, stories, and information.

We visited the museum in Feb 20 along with family and friends. It portrays the life of different tribes especially Jarva tribes. Best place to visit at Port Blair.

Honeymoon Couple can avoid it, its just a museum with old belongings
Dec 2019
You are not allowed to click photos inside, its a museum that has ancient houses, weapons, maps etc. Just a 10-15 min walk inside, just to be aware of their history. Honeymoon couples can best avoid it.

OK to spend an hour
Nov 2019
It is a museum on tribals / aborigines in Andaman and Nicobar. Good photos displayed and some replicas of huts and how they lived. You can spend about an hour visiting the 2 floors of this museum. Its in the centre of the city. Photography is not allowed. You would need to keep the camera inside the back.
