- Eniko L16 contributionsDog therapy for everyone! Just what the doctor ordered! It's not just a stroll along the Boulevard next to the black sea, it's a chance every day to meet an amazing community of dogs who live along this route. they're incredibly friendly and many people feed them and get to know them while staying in Batumi. Like us! Dogs and humans live together in the whole of Batumi and they teach us to live side by side with each other and enhance each other's lives. We miss those buddies already!!! How refreshing to be in a country where dogs are allowed to live along side us!Visited February 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten May 2, 2024
- Şafak ÇIstanbul, Türkiye277 contributionsWALKING AND SPENDING TIMEThe beach area is very wide, there are wooded areas, and there are playgrounds for children. Bicycle and pedestrian paths are separated. Ali and Nino, Alphabet Tower, Ferris Wheel and Lighthouse, which are the symbols of Batumi, are located in this part. The evening is especially beautiful, you can spend time walking under the lights of the whole city. We went in April, it was not too scorching hot, we spent time in the children's playground and by the sea.Visited April 2024Traveled with familyWritten May 5, 2024
- Anas FKuwait3 contributionsBeautiful placeOur time at Batumi Boulevard was unforgettable. Whether you're looking to unwind amidst nature, indulge in local delicacies, or simply enjoy the company of friends against a stunning backdrop, this is the place to be. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Batumi!Visited June 2024Traveled with friendsWritten June 21, 2024
- DariaVienna, Austria7 contributionsBoulevard of (broken 2000s developers’ fever) dreamsWeird mix of megalomania and decay - 90s and 2000s investment projects, often unfinished, combined with the soviet housing and resorts’ remnants. The boulevard is nice to walk on overall; the pedestrian path is separated from the rental vehicles. Fascinating yes slightly moody scenery: the construction sites of the fancy hotels contrasting the favelas-like 60s-70s chaotic houses. WC facilities are nonexistent.Visited August 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten August 12, 2024
- Meline 'TourGuide' Welcome to 🇦🇲Armenia299 contributionsBest place for walking.I have been here many times. If you are fond of walking then it's a perfect place. If you prefer boating ,there are different types of boats, starting from 20 gel each person, about an hour (it's free for children). There are also motorcycle and electric vehicles. Being in Georgia, it's worth to visit once.Visited August 2024Traveled with familyWritten August 27, 2024

The Boulevard is a wide green space between the city and the black sea. Construction of the boulevard started in the late nineteenth century and it originally covered only the old town of Batumi. It was extended as the city grew and today extends for seven kilometers from the Miracle Park to the edge of the city. It will take you around two hours to walk the entire length of the Boulevard. Thankfully, it has cycling tracks.
The Boulevard has a wide paved walking path next to the beach with the gardens and a cycling track behind it. Numerous sculptures, mosaics and fountains including two dancing fountains are also part of the boulevard. It is also home to many restaurants, cafes and bars, a mini-zoo and some other structures like a theater.
With the growth in tourism, a lot of modern hotels, apartments and other buildings have sprung up along the sea shore and the view from the boulevard is one of modern buildings.
The beach is spotless and not too crowded. Unfortunately, it is a stony beach and has pebbles instead of sand. Thankfully, there are many benches along the boulevard. Being oriented to the west, the beach also has great sunset views.

By night or by day this is a great place to stroll along the water. A pretty boardalk with palms and benches. You can see a lot of the architecture which is really quite beautiful in the distance. This is a must do in Batumi. There are also vendors who sell a lot of souvenirs and some good restaurants. I even got to pet a vervet who actually held my hand. Sadly the man who owned this animlal which should be in the wild, was exploiting the animal for money to take a photo I refused becasue the beautiful little one should be free in the wild but I am going to work on a vervet reserve becasue i fell in love with him/her.

Long and loud boulevard filled with big or small attractions and nice views. I recommend NOT TO BUY a cup of FRUITS FROM THE GUY standing next to the sculpture of Ali & Nino. He will rip you off saying prices more than 3 times higher than the ladies standing 50 meters further towards the port. Buy a cup of fruits from the ladies.

We walked a lot on foot. The landscape and the beach near the botanical gardens are really worth getting there too. The Omega is a warmly recommended experience.
We had a day trip in the waterfalls with Sergey's brother's guide.
It was cold but not rainy except the first day.
We prepared for the cold but the weather is similar to Jerusalem...
The night was cold but the day was warmer than the earth.
Dining in King's whole restaurants and a heated house is recommended.
You can also order at the King Solomon Hotel a meal to take. A plethora of salads and baptisms and thus you can get along with peaches or breads from the country on trips or in the evening.
Things we didn't like:
1) In the bullshit of wandering dogs chasing people and cars.
2) Taxi drivers are priced at the airport. The cost of traveling between cities should be 15-30 lars.
When we landed, a driver approached us and offered 125 lars!
Then tried 80 Larry!
We took someone that was considered relatively expensive 25 lars after acquisition.
In the market, it is recommended to buy only in stores that list price on the items and also negotiate.
We went into the shops and because we were tourists, they put prices at such a level that the people around closed their eyes. A cheap plastic toy for the baby, which should cost up to 10 shekels, told us 70 lars.
3) I forgot to take the matches out of the bag, which caused an unpleasant experience.
Larry is equal to one and a half shekels, so you should remember to add half of the added value to the price.
5) A lot of mosquitoes. We've been infiltrated even though we're repulsive mosquitoes.

Those who will go to Batumi should definitely not use the Sarp Border Gate. It is very difficult for disabled and elderly people to walk inside the building for a long time, the elevators and treadmills do not work. If you bought a product, phone, etc. with a tax refund on your return, you will not be able to find tax-free office staff at customs. Georgians go to great lengths to avoid paying back the tax refund. Don't ask anyone anything, the answer is I don't know. Georgians have turned this job into a profession because there is a quota for cigarette-like products when returning to TR and entering Batumi. He offers to pass cigarettes etc. on your behalf in exchange for money, I don't know if he is reliable. Batumi is a zone of contrasts, there are plazas but at the same time the image is very suburban. Apparently the people are in misery. They even take the elevator with the card they paid for in advance. It's not a place to go and see much other than gambling and other activities.

It's so good for walking alone or with family and children's or even with your dog. It's so safe even in midnight. You can see sunset or sunrise in this boulevard. You can rent bycicle or scooter or motorcycle for one hour and ride this boulevard.

I'm sure walking the Boulevard would be more fun on a brilliant, sunny day. But on a grey, rainy morning, I found it a depressing experience : everything closed and looking empty, desolate. Bad drainage, deep puddles everywhere.

Best place at Batumi. Enjoy cycling, ice cream and coffee. This place is fabulous and I am very glad that I visited it. It is just comfy and peaceful and at the same time you can make it fun by cycling, jogging or family picnic.

The local we were flying with suggested to have bike ride along but we decided to walk all the way from Alphabetical Tower to Carefour shopping mall. Nice walk, stopped for some drink, icecream or just relax in the shadow. Definitely suggesting walking then biking.

Hi u all,
Is the boulevard and its stores and attractions open in Nov or its only for the tourist season???
Are there malls or shopping centers in Batumi??
Thanks
Written September 21, 2015
Some of the stores on Boulevard are open all year round but most of them are closed after September. One can visit lots of shops in Older part of the city. There is a mall- Batumi Plaza.
