Excellent diving experience with the Eleuthera Tahiti team! My son and I did a 2-tank dive on one of pur last days of an amazing 3 week trip in French Polynesia. We had go at the Aquarium (wreck) and St. Etienne sites - saw humpback whales, loads of turtles, lion fish, moorays and many more. The team was really helpful and had a lot of local knowledge to share.

In March 2015 I made nine dives with Eleuthera Plongee. Before leaving for Tahiti I bought a dive package through their website - this is cheaper than buying dives at their store. The entire experience with this dive organization was excellent. Owner Nicolas provided free pick up from Le Meridien hotel. Zodiac boats took divers to sites that were typically 5 to 20 minutes from the marina. Dive leaders were safety conscious, friendly and gave dive briefings in both English and French. Dive sites were overall impressive with good coral growth and a diverse range of fish. Wall, plane/boat wrecks and shark dives were enjoyed. A special trip to Tahiti Iti provided the best dive of the trip - tremendous fish diversity and great coral growth was seen. Many local divers use this operator - testament to the high regard in which it is held. Nicolas was very prompt with answering my email questions when I was deciding on which dive operation to use. Based on 40 years of diving, Eleuthera Plongee receives an enthusiastic two thumbs up!

We booked this tour from our hotel because we did not think we would have time to snorkel in Papeete. Glad we did. It was a private tour with a great guide. He picked us up at the hotel and brought us back to the hotel. The boat was a zodiac, but it had a big sun shade cover to protect from the sun and it had a ladder so we could easily get in and out of the water. We did not go very far. It was interesting to see the hotel s from the water. We went out to close to where the waves were breaking and watched the surfing for a while. The snorkeling spot was near the airport. There was a plane wreck in the water as well as a boat. Compared to other islands in FP there were very few fish, but it was a good snorkeling adventure. We really enjoyed it and would highly recommend it directly with the company. They are a diving company but they will do snorkeling.

I had a really wonderful experience with this dive shop in December 2021. I completed my advanced open water and some additional dives, including my first night dive. The instructors are really helpful and kind. The dive sights are incredible, tons of fish, and I highly recommend the Vallee Blanche dive site.

I booked a trip this February 2023 with my sister for her to try scuba diving for the first time since it’s something I’m passionate about. Unfortunately, as I was leaving for the trip I punctured my ear drum and wasn’t able to go on any dives and had to cancel. They only offered to refund 80% or reschedule, which felt really scummy to me since I had already spent so much money with them. It feels pretty crappy to have a ruined trip due to my ear, and additionally be out $300+ from this shop on top of all the other money I’ve lost on this trip due to my ear. Overall I’m really disappointed as I would have tried to return to their shop had they offered me a full refund, but now I am left with a bad taste in my mouth and I would not return.

We had a fun time. Guides knew English but we had to prompt them to repeat everything they said in French. Only one good snorkel. They provided us with a taxi from the hotel, but kinda left us hanging on getting back to the hotel. Eventually an employee was able to call us a taxi.

Here’s the good: The dive masters - Marie and Andre - we very good and wanted us to have a great experience. 1st dive w/Mary - we had 10 divers and 2 dive masters (2 groups).
The dive lasted 38 minutes because one of the divers ran out of air and had to buddy breath through his safety stop… (i hadn't reached 1/2 a tank yet...)
We were transported back to the shop to exchange tanks and do our surface interval. The shop had coffee, tea and water for us.
Here’s the not so good: the 2nd dive had 20 divers on the boat - there were 5 in our group, but we were on a zodiac - there was not space for 20 divers and that was an accident waiting to happen.
The dive sites are not even close to the reef life on Bora Bora or Moorea - if you want a good experience - take the ferry!

We are novice divers with absolutely no experience beyond our weekend open dive certification. We opted for a two dive morning with Eleuthera as it was the only PADI 5 star shop in Papeete. Turned out to be a great choice. Nicolas was our dive guide. He was incredibly patient and very good dive master. He taught us some additional skills and never once did either of us feel embarrassed or insecure about our lack of dive expertise. The dive shop well appointed and could clearly accommodate divers of all skills. Definitely recommend.

Our hotel contacted Eleuthera about snorkelling for us and they were able to accommodate us for a next day trip. Friday morning just the two of us snorkelling with our guide Clementine and driver. We arrived at 7.30 as advised and we filled out forms, paid and were fitted for wetsuits and gear and in the boat by 8am. Clementine was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable with excellent English. We told them what we hoped to achieve and they understood. It wasn’t long before we saw dolphins, and then snorkelling at the first spot - the morning trip is only until 10.30am and we went to two more sites. We had already been snorkelling off Moorea but we hadn’t seen as many aquarium style fish as hoped so today’s trip was all about pretty reef fish and we got that! Along with turtles, eagle rays and sharks. The pinnacle coral was excellent and we saw a huge array of fish in very shallow water. I did have an issue with my snorkel but Clementine happily rectified the situation and that made for an excellent adventure for me. As with all things in Tahiti it was expensive but Hey! It was like our own private tour as there was only two of us.

Nui and Max were amazing dive masters handling both an experienced diver and beginners with finesse. We all had an amazing time and got to learn stories about the Tahitian culture, geography, and conservation as well as see spinner dolphins, turtles, and every type of coral and reef animal imaginable... I worked in an aquarium for 5 years and we tried to make our reef tanks look like what we saw.
