Better price
Feb 2020 • Couples
Cheaper alternative to go to the islands. Beware prices on the mobile version are not correct, make sure you go on the website or double check price by email.
Prices are between 134 to 144 from Lautoka to any island. They deserve almost all resorts and they are on time ( with us they left at 8:00 am from Lautoka) Transfer from your hotel to the boat in main island is complimentary.
Good alternative although is a rough trip, if you are looking for comfort and do not mind spending more money I would recommend to go with the other ferries ( south sea cruise, awesome adventures)

Cheaper and faster than the Flier
Jun 2019
We came up on the flier and returned after 7 days at Nacula on the Seabus, all sea transport is expensive, but this worked out better for us.

Pricing.
Dec 2019
They appear to make up the pricing as they go. I have just been charged fiji$144 each way to Nacula Island. It has been impossible to deal with the Company directly as the emails do not get to them. I read about the misleading pricing on the website and have spent some weeks trying to sort this out as we arrive Christmas eve. At that price, I would have taken the longer journey on the Flyer for only a few $ more. Not the best start to a once in a lifetime trip.

A good alternative to the Yasawa Flier
Jun 2019
We took the Sea Bus back from Blue Lagoon. Adding the transfer over to the pick-up at Coral View and the transport to Nadi it came out as just over half the cost of the Flier for the same trip. It will also get you into Nadi a good hour earlier (given the time it takes for luggage to come off the Flier and buses to fill and leave).
The boat is smaller than the Flier but big enough for moderate seas.
So... if you only want to go up to Tavewa, Blue Lagoon and Oarsmans this is a good option.

Unfair charges
Aug 2019 • Family
Our group was charged a whopping 132 FJD one way to get from Lautoka Wharf to Nacula Island in the Yasawas per person.... we had budgeted for 100FJD On their website it clearly says 100 FJD , i showed this to the ticket issuer and she said sorry but from August 1st it is now 132FJD
Fijians are charged 70 FJD
The staff are wonderful but i think this a very poorly run company that change their pricing on a whim without changing their website.
Use with care .... who knows what you will get charged

Bula Vinaka Global301644, We appreciate your review of Tavewa Seabus. Thanks for taking the time to provide a feedback on your recent trip with us. We apologize for the confusion with regards to information on a website. We do not own that website (seabusfiji.com) nor have we the authority to update the information that is on it although we had emailed them numerous times of the rate changes. The website actually belongs to a partner advertiser of the vessel which was created in 2016. Our sister company Coralview Island Resort has updated rates on its Transfers page and we have the new Seabus website in the pipeline to have full features of our services. However, we are sorry for the confusion & hope you had enjoyed your Fiji trip. Vinaka, Admin

Cheaper and quicker than the other option
May 2019
This is a fairly basic boat transfer, we were on the old boat, as the nicer new one was being serviced. The ferry was smooth enough on a calm day, took about 4 hours as we had problems with one of the engines.

Misinformed staff.
Mar 2019 • Solo
I needed to travel to Yageta with supplies for my family, i called multiple times prior to travelling to a number from their website and requested if I could take my 10weeks Lab puppy. Everytime i called to confirm they ensured me there was no issue. When i got here in Taxi at the wharf they DIDNT ALLOW him. I had come all the way from Nadi to Lautoka being completely misinformed by THEIR OWN STAFF, whom i spoke to MULTIPLE TIMES and had to send my puppy back all alone to nadi which BROKE MY HEART.
THEY NEED TO SORT OUT IMPORTANT INFORMATION AND NOT MISINFORM CUSTOMERS AND CAUSE THEM so much HASSLE. Plus they charge extra $1 per kilo of luggage over $20. I have travelled to yasawa too many times. I would have just gone in the Yasawa flyer which is from Denerau and 20mins from my house instead of being misinformed, paid taxi fare to get to Lautoka, charged extra for luggage and my beloved dog was refused to be boarded for which I had to arrange him to go back. Come on get your story straight so your customers know what to do. But you have definitely lost a customer in me.

Pleasant enough trip.

We caught the Seabus to and from the northern Yasawas.
It is a smaller boat you go in.

Our trip was a bit choppy at times both ways , but we kept our gaze on the horizon and didn't feel sick at all. Not flash , but cheaper and faster than the Flyer.
Your $120 Fijian includes pick up or drop off in Nadi. Because we were staying at a private address we had to pay for a driver to take us ($40). Next time I would get a free pickup.

The Only annoying thing was they changed time departure time from 8 am to 9.30 am without telling us , even though we had booked through them 2 days earlier.
Was simple enough to transfer to small long boat to get to our island.

Would recommend.

Seabus to Yasawa Islands.
May 2018 • Couples
The hotel pickup went smoothly although a bit dragged out. Spent a hour waiting at the Lautoka terminal. At the terminal they weighed our bags and if they were over 20 kg it was FJD $1 per kilo over. They did not check backpacks. I did notice some locals getting their bags weighed as well. There is a small snack bar nearby that has a few drinks, tea, coffee and sandwiches. The Fijian pancakes are hot fresh and very tasty. I paid FJD $2 but I was told by a local that they were FJD $1.
