About
We are an AIDA and PADI freediving business offering certification courses from beginner to advanced as well as excursions and training for experienced freedivers. We have access to calm, deep, warm waters for training year round as well as stunning locations for recreational freediving, like Namena marine reserve and untouched Natewa Bay. We are located in the picturesque small town of Savusavu on the island of Vanua Levu, a short comuter plane hop from the international Airport in Nadi. We can recommend and arrange accomodation to suit your budget and arrang transfers.

One of the most rewarding courses I've taken! I completed my AIDA 2 with Neelan and she went above and beyond to make sure I got the most out of the course. I cannot recommend the company enough and I will be sure to return to liquidstate for some exciting freediving in the future.
Neelam was patient and very knowledgeable in all aspects of the course - clearly loves what she does and makes sure to teach perfect and safe techniques to her students.
As a Scuba instructor I had always wanted to see how it would be without the tanks! Neelam helped me surpass my goals reaching over 3 minutes in breath hold and diving down to 20m. I loved every second of the course and can't wait to get back in the water to keep improving my new found skills.
Thankyou Tobias and Neelam! You're both superhuman rockstars underwater!!!
Many thanks

I just left this review on Google Reviews too so easier to copy paste, sorry. :-)
We spent 5 days doing line training with Neelam and Tobi in Savusavu early December 2021 and we loved it! They are incredible teachers for any kind of student. I had equalisation issues and Neelam gave me very handy tips to try various things to sort it out that helped. My partner was going to 30m and learned mouthfill with Tobi and worked on relaxation and great techniques, learning how to use a nose clip. Savusavu is an amazing place to freedive because it is a very quiet bay with no waves, 26-29 degree water, visibility between 10 to 50+ meters and awesome depth as Neelam and Tobi have put a buoy at 35m deep and another one at 75m deep for freedivers who want to train on deeper depth techniques. The boat ride to the buoys is only 2 min which is awesome too. Tobi is an awesome photographer and videographer who actually won multiple awards, so it is a chance to have him film you to review freediving position and technique afterwards. Tobi and Neelam also do fun experiments, like putting an umbrella above the buoy, which is such an awesome idea to protect from the sun! Their prices are really reasonable and there is various accommodation nearby to stay in such as the Daku resort. It is really the perfect setting to take an AIDA course or simply do some line training to improve freediving skills and techniques. One of the best secret freediving places of the Pacific is to go training with them! And there is also really great coral reef to explore if you just want to go freediving with Tobi and Neelam to awesome reef! We are already thinking about going again! :-)

I did 3 days of freediving with them and I absolutely enjoyed the feeling of calm and relaxation.
Neelam and Tobi are great people, fun to be with and are very passionate about the ocean and you can really feel that they both love what they do. Diving with them is very safe and personal and they are teaching with unwavering encouragement.
Highly recommend this place! Just go and book it – you won't be disappointed. The whole experience and the hot shower after the diving session was 5 stars.
Thank you Neelam and Tobi I will be back for more!

If you are ever in Savusavu, you need to check out Liquidstate freediving, my kids and I thoroughly enjoyed their intro to freediving experience. Tobias and Neelam were very professional and provided thorough hands on instruction right in Savusavu bay. They opened up a whole new world for me! I’m eager to now get AIDA certified.

My friends and I went to Liquidstate Freediving as a mixed group of freedivers. Some of us got our AIDA 2 and AIDA 3 courses while another just trained. We bombarded Neelam and Tobi with questions and schedule changes--which they answered with no problem at all.
Neelam is a very friendly and thorough instructor who put my buddy and I at ease during our AIDA 3 course. I learned new techniques and was able to dive much more comfortably at the end of it. Neelam is also very patient and safety focused, which helped my buddy and me relax before each dive. My other friends learned and trained with Tobi, and had amazing experiences as well. The diving conditions are beautiful!
This is also the only dedicated freediving school in Fiji. So, if it is a priority for you to learn, it's best to learn here rather than at a dive center where freediving is offered as a footnote. Tobi and Neelam will be able to teach you much more than a scuba diving instructor who rarely freedives themselves.
I'll be back for sure!

We LOVED our Freediving course with Neelam and Toby and couldn't recommend them with more enthusiasm.
My wife and i love scuba diving, yoga, and various other outdoor activities. Freediving is a wonderful way to combine the beauty of the ocean, challenging the body and quieting of the mind.
We took the combined AIDA level 1 and 2 and it was a perfect introduction to the sport. Liquidstate's website detailed the course and our expectations lined up perfectly with our experience.
I could rave about the quality of the instruction, the top rate gear supplied with the course, the beauty of Savusavu Bay and a dozen other parts of the course ... but the highlight of them all was meeting and spending time with Neelam and Toby. They are truly wonderful people and gifted instructors.
If you are considering Freediving, I would highly recommend the sport ... and if you have decided on Freediving, you won't find a better experience anywhere than at Liquidstate with Neelam and Toby.

We had an amazing freediving experience with Neelam and Tobias at Liquidstate Freediving! Tobias picked us up at our resort (aprox 20min drive) and drove us at the diving spot. They had everything readily available for us (wetsuits, weights, hood-vests to keep us worm, snorkel, etc) and after a very short walk and a quick boat ride, we got to a very nice location, visibility and perfectly flat (lake like conditions). Great conditions for a coaching session with Tobias. He was a great instructor, intuitive, and provided a lot of knowledge and tips on equalization, water entry, and alignment. Overall great experience from start to finish. I can’t wait to see you guys soon! Diana and Gabriel
PS: the hot water shower after the dive, was a just perfect! ☺️

Had a wonderful experience diving with Nelam. I wanted to complete the AIDA course but didn't think I would be able to do it. With Nelam's coaching and patience I managed so much more than I thought possible. It's so important to feel safe and trust the instructor. Nelam was brilliant - she always knew exactly what needed to be adjusted.
Highly recommend Liquidstate for free diving. I would love to have had more time to do some recreational dives as the reef around Savusavu is beautiful.

I have just returned from freediving for 6 days with Liquidstate Freediving, it was a most unforgettable experience, thanks to both Neelam and Tobi who are amazing instructors and put their heart and soul into teaching freediving.
The diving conditions were excellent if not perfect, the sea was calling every day.
Thanks to Tobi I am a better freediver, no doubt about it.
Needless to say, I plan to go back.
A huge 'Thank you' to Liquidstate Freediving.
