A promenade designed for tourists with corresponding problems
We visited Naama Bay mainly in the evenings (Pedestrian Road). Therefore, we cannot rate the beach. The place is touristy and brings with it corresponding problems (cheap Chinese goods, fake products, taxi rip-offs). The promenade is nicely laid out and most of the restaurants and bars are visually appealing. However, as soon as you go to the toilets or look behind the counter or in the kitchen, you start to doubt whether it is safe to consume something there... The restaurants/bars also actively advertise for customers, which makes it difficult to choose according to your own criteria. The sound in some areas of the pedestrian zones is also borderline...

    Nice airy shopping center
One of the shopping centers in Sharm, the same principle so visit the one next to your hotel. If you have to choose just one it will be the Soho which is more spacious and especially the show of lights and the fountain. Otherwise the same principle: cafes and restaurants and the same stores which sell the same thing. What spoils shopping in Sharm is the excessively high prices. You have to haggle and despite that you feel ripped off. It's too bad. If they displayed fixed and correct prices tourists would buy more, because from what I have seen the majority buy practically nothing.

Beutiful sandy beach and clear waters, public beach is small, no public toilets
The beach is stunning. Absolutely beautiful. Our hotel has its own private beach at another bay despite it being closer to naama bay beach. The hotel's beach had a lot of stones and rocks so we decided to visit naama bay beach as we remember it from 15 years ago being very sandy and no rocks etc. Unforthnately, the entire beach has been taken over by hotels that have made their section of the beach private for their guests to use or you pay for a sunlounger to enter. There is one very narrow section of the beach that is open to the public. Its supposed to be free but the man that sits at the desk near the entrance will ask for a small price to enter. Sometimes they'll ask for $1 pp another time they let 2 adults and 3 kids in for 150 egyptian pounds. The sun beds are worn out in this public section of the beach. The small section where the sand and sea meet is nice and sandy and clean. It was quiet when we visited so there was enough space for the kids to make sand castles. Theres changing facilities and a shower to rinse off the sea water but no toilet. Its worth visiting if you want to swim in the beautiful sea and enjoy a sandy shore. Its a shame there isn't a larger public beach for people to enjoy.

    Amazing
Visited Sharm for the first time in October mainly attraction was diving although wanted somewhere nice also as wanted a holiday. Naama bay did not disappoint! Brilliant place with lots to do, the beach was amazing and diving straight from shore was incredible. Beaches do get busy although there is more than enough space for everyone. Great place to relax and snorkel 🤿 which is great also the fish come right to the shore almost

Naama bay has a really Nice beach with great snorkelling from the shore .However it’s divided up and each little bit is private and security will check you on the way in. our hotel included a free beach pass which was very nice, with a great lady who did 1 hour massage for £10.

Hated walking through through the shopping area, and one unpleasant experience made us stay to the hotel and beach area.
We got pulled in to a travel ‘agent’ Peace Tours, who basically would not let us leave until we booked and scammed us with a ‘special offer’ . His tours were dreadful. We went horse riding… which was basically walking along a dust tack surround the 100s of quad bikes as they made their way to the desert . We are good riders but weren’t allowed to do anything other than trot . We had to stop every 2 minutes to pose for photos we didn’t want, and then were pestered into buying them. After we agreed to buy them the ‘guide’ told us the money was for the horses and he got nothing… ie scrounging for a tip. just a horrible uncomfortable situation and a waste of £55 .

The Bedouin experience was also horrible. Their idea of entertainment involved poking and prodding snakes and a monkey 🙊.

Be very careful about stopping to talk to shop owners…

Our hotel Oriental Rivoli Naama bay, was lovely, and the staff amazing. Lesson learned about the other stuff! They won’t catch me out twice!

I usually stay in Naama Bay when I visit Sharm but this time we stayed in the Hadaba area. We visited Naama Bay a3 times, once to eat at the Hard Rock Cafe which was fantastic, once ti use the beach which we enjoyed then once to do shopping and have a curry at La Rosa which was delicious. I was very disappointed walking through Naama Bay at night, since they made all the shops and cafes the same, white in colour it has totally ruined the vibe for me. Before all the Bedouin style shipshape bars were unique with their brightly coloured lights etc and the shops had their own feel to them, but now there's no more Bedouin type bars and all the shops and Cafe bars are just white . There's no atmosphere like before. Such a shame they changed things, as this time it's definitely not for the best. (Just my opinion)

Excellent climate, perfect sea temperature, unfortunately little or no coral reef in Naama Bay but lots of fish. Unfortunately the traders are too insistent, in doing so they scare away the tourists. As for the food, I can say that there is very little fruit, otherwise the rest is more than acceptable (WE ARE NOT IN ITALY). For an off-season beach holiday it's more than fine.

Naama Bay is full of tat shops and shisha bars. The harassment is pretty strong. I’d only go if you’re a confident person otherwise you will be manipulated in paying a lot of money for things worth barely a few £s. I haggled for a good 10 minutes with a gentleman who wanted £40 for 5 souvenirs worth about £6 maximum. I laughed in his face and proceeded to tell him that he must be joking. We managed to get it reduced to £25 just because he was quite a funny guy regardless of him trying to shaft us. You do have to be aware that around every corner is someone wanting to essentially scam you. I would recommend Soho Square instead as there is no hassle until you enter a shop due to it being disallowed outside the shop.

As a single female traveller, as was constantly harassed by security staff all round the bay hotel beaches. Beaches and pool areas of all hotels are closed off at night. They were aggressive and confrontational. You cant even sit for 10 mins without being moved on! One guard tried to grab my arm! The hotels want you to buy a non resident day pass just to sit on a patch of sand by the water! Outrageous. And the noise…..loud banging musak from morning till 3 am all day and most nights. Heavy bass that goes right through you. No atmosphere anywhere except when the Mullah starts up.
Russians everywhere, so i was assumed to be that everywhere. Many licals only speak russian, no english now. This was my 3 rd (and last) visit. Different experience to previous 2 visits when with my husband.
Will not be returning.

Long stretch to woke along shops and restaurants on the sides, shops are so overpriced and selling same stuff. Alot of hassle to come into shop they say "no tension, just come inside and see" but once your in they don't leave you. It's not my sort of place just loud and to much hassle to buy cheap rubbish. Restaurants are all full of people smoking shisha and blowing in your face, I'm not sure why this was on my city tour I wouldn't come again.

I had a terrible experience there. I felt uncomfortable there. I got forced to go into a perfume shop when I didn’t want to go into and he kept saying do you want any perfume and me and my friend got asked how much would you pay! Went to an excursion and got told we would get star gazing and we paid 1,000 Egyptian pounds and we didn’t get to see any. Terrible experience never again! Scammers out there.

An amazing holiday!! The hotel was very clean and accommodating. The entire staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. Our housekeeper was such a lovely person, cleaned and maintained our room as we expected. The reception man Mohammed Omar was very helpful and made sure we had what we needed. Omar and Islam lifeguards at the beach were amazing. The food although was more catered for the Russians was fresh and tasty most days, however breakfast was very disappointing. The only negative I will say is that we felt that Russians were favoured over any other nationality. The music was Russian, the entertainment was in Russian mostly
Just be careful of the street vendors and shops as they do harass a lot. Also always barter the prices, everything is over priced and we paid for items in Egypt that would have been a lot less on the uk. Lesson learned

Such a shame that thus once lovely area has been spoilt. Aggressive shopkeepers make an evening stroll unpleasant. Went to one of the bars for a drink and was charged 10 euros just for being there and 25 euros for 3 drinks . The old Egypt area is far nicer .
You never see tourists in these shops as the haggling experience is scary. When they start ‘fixed price’ they will do so much better .

If you want the authentic Egyptian copy of some of fashion's biggest brands then Naama bay is for you from Sunglasses to designer handbags. The shop keepers will try anything to get you into their shops but if your harsh on haggling you can get some great bargains.

Avoid the cafes on the way down the main street as they will try and rip you off. Especially Classico cafe avoid like a trademark officer for Gucci on holiday in Sharm.

The day has a different vibe as most of the cafes and shops are closed.

The hotel we stayed at had a private beach with its own little coral reef and was fantastic.

If you in Sharm, just go check it out.
