- katiecross1Barnstaple, United Kingdom15 contributionsSoho squareSoho Square is attached to the Savoy chain. It has multiple restaurants of all description nice food is fairly easy eating there is no fine dining. But all of this is fair quality. If you’re on half board or full board at the Hotel make sure you tell the restaurant and most of them will try and get you to pay for a deal rather than give you a discount. However it is beautiful easy well organised safe and the people are really friendly. Having been a female travelling alone a lot this is not a place I would recommend a single female travels to though, Almost all conversations are focused towards the man and as a woman you are stared at a lotDear Guest, It makes us very happy that you enjoyed your time at Soho Square. - BritinEgypt1032 contributionsDisappointed on my birthdayI am writing this here instead of the actual Restaurants because we ended up at 2 of them. We booked for the teppanyaki as it was mine and my brothers birthday. We booked 5 days in advance for 7/8 people. My mum arrived first as she had 2 birthday cakes she wanted to hide at the restaurant for later only to be told there was no booking for us. The restaurant only has one table around the grill and another group were already inside and seated. The man from the booking hotline appeared whilst we were speaking with the manager who asked the name of the booking and said “ah Mr David your a resident right? “ so obviously knew who we were as no one had told them we were not hotel guests from elsewhere. In the end all they could offer us was to go to the steak house instead. The last comment from the manager really angered me as he said “well there is no proof we made the mistake “ - why would we turn up assuming we had a booking with 2 cakes if we hadn’t booked the Restuarant ( my brother even showed him the call on his phone from 5 days previous and the call he received back from the hotline with the booking.) we ended up at the over expensive steak house, whilst I will admit to it being nice steak, but for the prices the fries were undercooked, the waiters polite but inattentive ( we asked for 2 bottles of water and one was poured the other left on another table so I had to go and get it so some of the party could have water) as much as I don’t want waiters hovering over me during my meal I also would like to be checked once in a while that we don’t need more drinks. I don’t want to sound penny pinching as it was my birthday after all but the steak house is expensive and my mum wanted to pay for my brother and I, I would normally have at least a bottle of wine on my birthday but at 290le for Omar Khayam which is really not a great wine and costs 123le in the shops that’s a massive mark up - I expect to pay more in a hotel but that’s ridiculous. So I didn’t even get a drink on my birthday as I refuse to pay €16 + tax for dreadful wine. Needless to say I am very disappointed as I was looking forward to trying the Teppanyaki restaurant, and the way the mistake was approached by the staff at the Teppanyaki was what can I do I have people already in and only have one table never once an apology.Visited June 2021Traveled with friendsWritten July 8, 2021
- Thomas BNorth Yorkshire, United Kingdom35 contributionsAmazingWent for a trip out last night to soho and I must say it was well worth it. We booked a private taxi from our resort with “falcon adventures” who I have to mention because it was very fast, cheap and efficient. Soho square itself is very clean and very well maintained. No hassle from any of the sales people who were so so happy and excited to welcome British back into sharm. Amazing seafood restaurant and not to pricey opposite the savoy hotel (can’t remember the name) all in all in was a very pleasant experience and me and my partner have never felt safer. Lots of security around and everyone was just so nice. We will try and make it again before the end of our trip. Thankyou soho and sharm el sheikh for your amazing hospitality 5* plus.Visited February 2020Traveled as a coupleWritten February 29, 2020

We walked to Soho square from the Hilton resort we were staying at, it was about a 5-10 minute walk. The place is basically a tourist trap, prices here for merchandise were about twice what they were at the hotel shops. There are a number of restaurants here you can eat at fairly inexpensively once you get sick of the all-inclusive food at your resort. The restaurant we ate at was strangely (but happily for me) playing classic American Country Music, and I mean Hank Williams, Patsy Cline, classic.

We went for a NYE's dinner at Tepaniaki and it was just great! We did go early at 6 pm so it was quiet and delicious. When we got in, parking was smooth and service was immediate. AFter dinner at 9 pm to 10.. Crowds were gathering in for the NY's, though not much of entertainment was promised. This was the point when we decided to leave because it was just too crowded and very chaotic. Mostly family goers. On our way out, we saw the line to get in extended to the highway outside.

One of Sharm Elsheikh's attractions where there are lots of shops and cafes some of which offer some shows (belly dancing - singing - Egyptian Tanoura - oriental shows.. etc).
There is also the SOHO Dancing Fountain that works at night every hour.
The prices there might be a little expensive compared to other markets in Sharm nevertheless, SOHO Square is really an amazing experience and a must see when you are in Sharm.

It was a great experience at SoHo Square in the evening. It seemed like it is one of the most happening places in Sharm-al-sheikh. The lighting around the market and the walking pathway , in the entrance gave us some festival flavor.
The most attractive corner is the SoHo Square fountain which offers a 15 min musical water dance every hour.
I was able to get a few fridge magnets for 20 EGP each which seemed like fix rate in every shop.
Juice was very expensive ( min 90 EGP) compared to Cone Ice-Cream ( 50 EGP).

It's a shopping centre, an expensive one at that, with dancing fountains, lot's of lights, many statues of animlas etc.
Quite nice but I have no idea why anyone raves about it.
We walked around for an hour and had seen most of it.
We walked a bit more and by now we were pretty bored.
Luckily I had spoken to a lady at our hotel that told us we didn't need more than a couple of hours, so we booked our return taxi accordingly.
We had thought of staying later but I'm so glad we took her advice.
Looking at the prices of food and drink, I can't believe anyone would think of dining here.
The Chinese menu was dearer than a decent restaurant in the UK
Heineken was £7.50 a glass!!
Someone stated in their review how clean it is.
My measure of cleanliness is the toilets, and they were a health hazard.
I have provided pictures so you can see what I mean.
The main walkways have long cracks in the concrete.
It all looks a bit tired to me, but hey, many like it and as we were leaving it was becoming packed, that put me off even more.
Is this place worth a visit?
Possibly, if you are into shopping, but for me, once in a lifetime is plenty.

of course you'll be advised by everyone to come visit this place. don't expect a lot though. you'll find several nice but defitively overpriced restaurants, some bars with the fountain view, one place - big and very umcomfortable with huge amount of tables and very slow (of course, due to quantity of guests) service. the walk around will take like 15 minutes maximum. but you'll find a great restaurant Soho House - worth visiting 100%

Sharm suffered terribly during the COVID pandemic. The Govt closed the whole place down. Many people lost their jobs etc, and that in a country that does not have the same support the UK does must be devastating.
So back to Soho Square. It looks fabulous. The people are kind and thoughtful. They are doing their very best to ensure holidaymakers have the best time they can.
The restaurants have had to adjust to the smaller numbers, but this will change as confidence and numbers increase.
I ate at one of their restaurants every night. I never had a bad meal. I hope the next time I visit the menu will offer the variety it had pre covid, I am sure it will.

Made the mistake of going during the day (forgot it is Ramadan and everything was closed until 4pm - our taxi driver didn’t advise us of this so we wasted a journey - our fault we should have asked). During the day it looks tatty and dated. Went back to see what the evening was like and whilst the lights and the cover of darkness improves the look, that was pretty much all its about. Had an overpriced badly made cocktail that was so bitter I couldn’t finish it, then walked around the shops of overpriced tourist bits you can get pretty much anywhere in Sharm but for about 30% less. Not as good as I was expecting and we ended up leaving after about an hour and watching the fountain light up and ‘dance’ to Belinda Carlisle’s Heaven is a Place on Earth.
I suppose you have to see it for yourself, and to each their own, but if I wanted cheap holiday tat at over inflated prices and some lights, I could go to Weston for the day. Wasn’t impressed and won’t be going back.

If you visit sharm el sheikh, Soho square would be an evening attraction place you should not miss.
It's so lively place, suitable for everybody specially families and couples.
Nice cafe, coffee shop setting near by a wonderful colorful fountain that perform a water shows.
if you have o evening attraction in you hotel in sharm (which is mostly the case) then visiting Soho square will guarantee you an amusing evening out.
going by taxi is an expensive choice of transport. however, you can share a mini bus which has frequent trips all the way to soho and it operates till midnight.
Just stop by the main street in front of your hotel and wave to stop the minibus.
it's a cheaper way to roam around many places in sharm with affordable charge.

The best place in Sharm! Very nice restaurants, cafés, illumination and dancing fountain. The waiters stuff at the fountain café is the best, especially Marco - very attentive and polite. Aleksandra, the administrator, is gorgeous - helpful, caring and pleasant to deal with, she gave us all necessary information for joyful vacation.

Looking for a nice hotel (all inc) where you don't have to fight for sunbeds around the pool...
that is close to shopping areas so as to walk out of hotel and find something to have a look at. My wife loves having a look at shops etc at night. Always go to Hurghada but decided to have a look at Sharm now. Any info truly grateful as don't want to be in the middle of nowhere stuck in Hotel. Many thanks in advance
