Booked a last minute holiday to Egypt so unfortunately did not have enough time to get any on line discounts that this centre have available. I had been with this dive centre a few years ago and was impressed so I chose to dive with them again. Have to say the experience was excellent from start to finish. Safety is paramount here. All divers need to dive the house reef before getting out on the felucca or bigger boats. This is no hardship as it is a nice wee relaxed dive and gives you a chance to get your gear wet. The dive packages are good value imo and the staff - from Olga and the others in reception, Asai and Zizo on the dives and Ramon in the kit room - are all fantastic. A variety of excellent dive sites also and lots to see. Encouragingly the reefs look as if they have recovered over Covid but there are fewer big fish due to locals relying on fishing for their food source over Covid with little other alternatives for them. Hopefully this too will recover quickly. Lone divers like myself are well buddied up and the dive masters get to know your profile really quickly so that you are always diving safely and comfortably.
The dive shop is well stocked and I love my Scuba World T shirt(white). Hopefully I will be back soon to get a black one.
Cannot recommend this centre highly enough.

Nice clean and tidy dive centre with friendly helpful staff and excellent facilities for you and your kit. Visiting with my partner who has mobility issues I opted for 5 morning boat dive trips to keep the peace. The diving was varied in both scenery and fish life visiting a different site for every dive. The guides and boat crews were helpful and enthusiastic making sure everyone had a good time catering for all levels of divers . We will be back soon for a autumn visit hopefully 🤞

Booked a 3 hour private snorkeling trip from an agent on the beach. Service was good, non pushy to book and fixed price.
The trip itself was perfect. The boat was a nice spacious dive boat with plenty of shade and good supply of drinks. We had our own snorkeling gear but used their flippers.
The snorkeling spots were 20/30 boat ride from Makadi Bay jetty (5 min walk from our hotel (Jaz Oasis). The spots were some of the best snorkeling I've ever done. We stopped on a really cool sand bank which had about 50cm of water on it. Perfect for a walk around and some beautiful photos.
We managed to squeeze in 4 stops.
The guide, Adam, was really good. He was very professional, knew both what he was doing and also knew the reefs he took us to. He constantly checked we were all present and together and regularly kept us in check when we were drifting away.
The boat driver was equally professional.
All in all, I'd absolutely recommend both this trip and this company. We paid €250 for 3 hours of private boat which although seemed quite a lot of money, was worth every penny and I felt was great value.

My family and I just came back from Makadi bay and had a wonderful week diving with Scuba World.
The welcome in the diving center is very friendly and check in was done smoothly. We had to do an orientation dive on our first day to get to know the center and check our equipment before we go on the boat. It helped us all starting gently and we enjoyed the House Reef in front of the diving center.
We also dove from the boat for several days and seen various interesting dive sites. We were also lucky to go on a full day trip to Hurghada where we did 2 fantastic dives. The food on the boat was really tasty and even better than in the hotel :-)
All the dive guides were really good with briefing oriented on safety and giving us a lot of attention under water.
We had our own equipment except one of us who rented theirs and it was as new.
We would really recommend this diving center, as it was on of the best we visited in our diving holidays.
We will be back

Me and my partner did our Advanced Open Water and Nitrox course here. The staff is well trained and the instructors are really good. To dive with them, you have to do a check dive which makes it quite expensive, but it could be nice to freshen up your skills.
If you're looking for the community feeling, a place to hang like in dive shops in Asia, this is not the place to be. It's very big and efficiently run, but because of that it's also more focused on getting as many divers into the water as quickly as possible. If you just want to dive no problem, but for me it felt too rushed and impersonal.
The staff is kind and they all mean well, but we got the feeling there's not enough personnel and that they are under too much pressure in high season. After the check dive we could only do two days of diving because the dives in the two days after that were full. This gave us a bit the feeling that they prefer people doing their lucrative PADI courses. (Which are good and well taught.) All in all, these things seemed more like a management issue, maybe a bit too much focussed on earning money and less on the atmosphere and people.

Very efficient company, and very much evidenced when a shark attack just up the coast, caused all snorkeling and diving activities to be suspended in the area, so they bused us down to Safaga, found a dive boat, and carried on operations without a blip. Some fantastic local dives, with stunning corals, and a very safety conscious organisation. Would not hesitate to recommend them, and will certainly use them again should we head in that direction again.

My wife and I decided we wanted to do the catamaran snorkel trip. It consisted of 2 stops 50mins each for snorkeling over large coral reefs. The guys looking after us were superb in everyday. My wife once she realised how far out and deep it was decided she didn't want to get so she didn't do the first stop. I went in with the leader who lead the group around pointing out interesting features ect. My wife was made a cup of tea and the guys on board kept reassuring her and talking to her. At the second stop much to my amazement she decided she was going to join us as the main guide had a life ring on a rope and she was able to hold on to that while he gently moved her around. Within 15 minutes her confidence was up and she swam on her own for the duration. They were so supportive with her and I can't thank them enough.

The centre was recommended by the hotel we stayed at and my dialogue with the, prior to our visit was very good. I went to the dive centre and wanted to book 2 dives, but was told that as I’d not dived for 3 months (certified for deep, Nitrox and wreck with 50 dives total) that I would need to do a house reef dive at€60 to demonstrate mask and mouthpiece recovery). I could then do the reef dives.
Whilst I appreciate the necessity to demonstrate the basics, I didn’t feel the need to spend €60 to prove it.
Instead I went to Idive, just along the bay where I demonstrated the basics on our 1st reef/boat dive.
A bit disappointed in what felt like a blatant attempt to extract €60

Booked a boat trip to Orange Bay Island with Scuba World. The boat ‘Mister O’ was fantastic. Very clean and tidy with build in double bed sun beds on the top deck, 2 at the front and 4 at the back. Very comfy and relaxing. With lovely build in round cushioned seating on the top deck also. The saloon downstairs was very comfy and clean. The staff were amazing and very friendly. Unfortunately it was a bit windy that day which made it a little cold but this is no fault of Scuba World and one of the risk you take during winter. We stopped at 2 amazing snorkelling sites where lots of marine life could be seen. The Red Sea is always warm so this was not an issue. just have your towel handy when you get out if it’s windy. We stopped at Orange Bay Island for 1 hour which in our opinion is not long enough to settle down and enjoy the beautiful water and sun bathing - 2 hours would be better so you have chance to relax. The food provided in the boat was good. All in all a good day and would recommend this trip if you visit Makadi Bay. Don’t be fooled by the cheaper alternatives - some of the boats you see with cheaper companies are rusty and don’t look very safe. Choose Scuba World if you want to feel safe and looked after.

Had a great week’s diving with these guys. This is the third time me and my partner have stayed at Makadi Bay ant the third time I’ve dived with these guys. Still can’t find anything negative to say about them. Everything was chilled and peaceful nobody was getting rush or pushed into doing anything they didn’t want to. The boat crews were always helpful. The trips were varied. One day we traveled the best part of a hour to get to the dive sites on a half day trip,further than you would normally expect to travel. The office staff were friendly and helpful throughout the week. Especially Simona who had the job of telling me they had to cancel a trip due to lack of interest. Yet again I would recommend them as a great dive company and will be returning to them when we return to Egypt next year.

Hallo mir wird hier ein Preis von 220 € für den OWD-Tauchschein angezeigt. Mit welchen zusätzlichen Gebühren muss ich rechnen. z.B. für Zertifizierung, Handbuch, Logbuch, online Material, Versicherung, Ausrüstung, Steuer.

Warum wird eigentlich immer von jedem, der bei euch tauchen möchte, beim Check Dive Übungen (Maske abnehmen, Atemregler aus dem Mund nehmen, tatieren in 3 m Tiefe) verlangt? Klar ist es ein Unterschied, ob man in deutschen Seen oder im Meer taucht, allerdings werden in Deutschland diese Übungen in einer Tiefe zwischen 5 und 10 m, bei Wasser Temperaturen unter 10 Grad und bei wenig bis keiner Sicht erlernt. Bei Tauchanfängern und Personen die im Urlaubsland ihr Brevet erlangt haben verstehe ich ihre Einstellung aber, wenn erfahrende Taucher zu euch kommen, wäre ein Besichtigungstauchgang deutlich angebrachter, als in 3 m Tiefe irgendwelche Übungen durchzuführen! Vielleicht sollte man mal dieses Konzept überdenken.

Hätt da eine Frage bezüglich OWD und AOWD in einer Woche!?
WIE ist das möglich, dass ihr den AOWD eine Woche darauf machen konntet -
hab nämlich gelesen, dass eine gewisse Anzahl an Tauchgängen notwendig ist,
um den AOWD nach dem OWD machen zu können..
Bitte um Info diesbezüglich... ist nämlich bei SSI und PADI unterschiedlich soweit ich das erkennen kann.

Just get the shuttle bus down to the beach. Find your self a sun bed and within a few minutes some one from there will find you. You can pay in £ or € or Egypt £
They are a great company to deal with I have just posted a review on a trip we did with them and I would recommend them

in Egypt , Yoke and DIN tanks are available in all dive centers.
if there's no yoke tanks . you can ask for DIN to yoke adaptor for free .
