We booked a Desert Safari day with the kids which consisted of an hour of quad biking, a trip to a Bedouin village, including tea & a meal in a Bedouin tent, a short camel ride, a mirage, watching the sun set & a jeep safari. That's a lot of fun & experiences for your money. We booked with Red... More

To spend a day in the desert was exceptional. Only bad experience was that our driver put our lives in danger when he opted to get into a road rage fight with a different driver.

For more than 11 years I lived in Dubai and Doha, so right next to the dessert. Hot climate, suitable for the sun and sunbathing lovers as I am.

We booked this trip through our Thomas Cook rep in our hotel, who made this trip sound wonderful at only paying £25 per person. Transport was provided to the dessert, but it was a small bus with low quality air conditioning and too many passengers. Once we had arrived to the camp, there seem to be a lot of waiting... More

The ride over to the Bedouin village was great fun and I have left a review with 'Falco Safari'. The village and the evening/entertainment are another story all together. The Bedouin Village was very dull to say the least. I learned and experienced nothing there except watch a woman bake bread whilst her screaming children grabbed at my wife's clothes... More

Doing the car games on the desert, fine, it was a lot of fun. But the ridiculous up and downs of the camels so people could take pictures with them was heartbreaking. the camels would go up and kneel down, continuously so hundreds of people got to show off in pics! Come on! you were not really riding a camel,... More

So, the good news, quad biking is a blast. You are racing through the barren desert with gorgeous mountain tops in the background. It is really exhilerating. And the guide is thorough with his safety checks and general supervision. But then things start falling flat. The Bedouin Village is a mock up and there is no organic interaction with them... More
