It really is a beautiful location, definitely worth a visit. The sand is nice and its not too busy. The food wasn't to my particular taste so just had the bread and rice. If the meat was a bit better I would have given the trip a 5. There are better places to snorkel if you go out on an... More

Can only be reached by boat. Beautiful beaches for swimming and snorkelling, great service and good seafood. Very relaxing and pristine. Only problem is that there are no showers after swimming because it is an island reserve so facilities are sparse.

We went to Mahmya from all the hype we had been hearing about it. To get to the island, there is a one hour boat trip which is extremely fun and relaxing. Once you get there, you realize it's a piece of heaven on Earth. The beach is beautiful and calm. The ambience is relaxing and soothing. It's a wonderful... More

Bad service and way too expensive for what one actually gets. No matresses on the beach. When we asked if we could sit on the matresses, we were told that these were only for Egypyians. Food not tasty at all.

My family and I did a boat trip that entailed spending an hour on the island. At the time we visited it was packed with other holiday makers especially Egyptians. There appeared to be a little bit of rubbish left around the beach. That said the sea was gorgeous and made you feel like you where in paradise. We would... More

A day trip to this beautiful island was well worth the visit Very hot so beach shoes needed. Other than sunbathing or swimming there isn't much more to do. Take water to the beach as can be bought but at a cost. It's sad that people dispose of their rubbish into the sea and is gradually destroying the beauty of... More
