PADI Deep Diver

Does the idea of deep diving thrill or fascinate you? Gain the required knowledge and skills to plan and make enjoyable deep dives while minimizing risks.

Deep diving is defined as dives made between 60 feet (18 meters) and 130 feet (40 meters).

Exploring wrecks or descending along walls requires skills to be picked up during a PADI Deep Diver Specialty course.

Your instructor begins with reviewing deep diving. He will make you aware of knowing your limits underwater during recreational diving. You will perform four deep dives to get acquainted with specialized deep diving equipment, deep dive planning, buddy contact procedures and buoyancy control.

You will be able to manage your gas supply, dealing with gas narcosis and safety considerations. The fun part about this course is the opportunity to explore the deep. It’s exhilarating.

I just had the most amazing holiday at Coral beach resort, which is where I found Egypt Divers, as their base is at the resort/house reef. I’m new to both snorkelling and had never dived but the sea just off the resort pontoon is teeming with beautiful fish - an amazing discovery. Many folk were snorkelling in just swimwear but we hired from ED short wetsuit and life jackets and found we easily spent an hour gently floating over shallow coral & fish. Wonderful experience. I was very nervous of diving and so did a try dive in the lovely shallow waters by the beach/ pontoon- the instructor Mustafa was incredibly patient as I found the idea of breathing underwater with tanks made me anxious- I managed it but he suggested I try once more before booking - and thankfully ED allowed this - these are free sessions, in theory only lasting 10 mins but allow longer as you may be waiting while others try it and if like me you take a while it’s easily longer, thanks to their patience. I then decided to go for an ‘introduction to diving’ session, which is 1-1 with an instructor so you can be a complete beginner. It’s two short dives (10-15 mins) or one longer dive (20-30 mins). We’d booked to go from a boat but on reflection as I was so nervous and unsure about going through with it, the shore dive option was a better one. That is simply going from the resort pontoon- and with such amazing coral and fish, even a turtle (didn’t come out for us) - I’d recommend this option for nervous or first timers, you aren’t missing out! It’s breathtaking 😊🤿 The day of our booked boat dive a sand storm meant zero visibility and the trip was cancelled- ideally they’d have contacted us as they had our details, and we’d got up at 6:30am, but maybe we should have guessed seeing the resort was on shut down but anyway, the cancellation was a blessing as we switched to a shore dive the next day. The sandstorm only lasted the morning- We had a fantastic diving experience- our instructor, Emadt, was equally patient with me, gave clear teaching about the reef and the diving suit/ equipment (not lots but enough) and lots of confidence and reassurance: although I said no way would I want the long dive within a few minutes being under water with him I knew I did. Either he was holding me, linked to me or I held him, it was very safe and he was patient throughout and keen for me to see all there was, including a crocodile fish on the ground at 5m. A photographer came with us but was really unobtrusive and although he’d taken some lovely photos of my friend and I - there was thankfully and surprisingly no pressure to buy them. This was not the case with other trips/ firms. He also helped find things to see. I hadn’t budgeted for photos but if they take them you may want to allow for some. Could make nice souvenirs. We’d left trip to last full day, would have been better midway so could do again and reduce risk of missing out if cancelled for any reason. Manager and team were also very helpful and patient - as we were trying to pack in as many experiences/ trips as possible- while relaxing! Thanks everyone- hope to return and would recommend resort and ED. Also, there is a lifeguard on the pontoon- don’t be alarmed by their super relaxed appearance, we were surprised and reassured to find they were incredibly attentive- and knew what was going on and who was out there.

First of all - it was awesome! I was interested in diving but i thought that it is possible only if you have certificate, but nothing like that. On the day before diving we had lesson in swimming pool where we were trained to use diving equipment. Thanks to Zo lesson was verry calm, without stress or panic. I felt that i was in good hands so i was able to relax and enjoy the process. On the next day we met at the EgyptDivers center, filled the papers, got our equipment and vere ready to go. On the boat crew gave us more instructions about behaviour under the water, signs and stuf like that. All the time instructor was very patient, calm and easy. Actually all of instructors behave professional and polite so it gain my trust and it is very important for such extreme thing as diving. Especialy when you have zerro expierence. When they put on the vest with baloon you can feel butterflies in stomack or maybe they were Clown fish :) With vest in the sea the thing is real! Captain helped with getting in to the water and then the magic started. Each of beginner dive with instructor. I had the best instructor in the world! I felt safe, without stress and happy. And the corals...omg it was fantastic! From all that excitment i forgot instructors name, but he knows that i would like to dive every day in breakfast, in dinner all day long :) For those who dream about diving but don't know where and how to start - start in Egypt with EgyptDivers! See you in open water course! Dita

Our recent trip to Egypt was specifically to take our PADI Open water licence. We did our research and made our choice based on information on the PADI site. Egypt Divers are listed as a 5* dive centre, and 5* they certainly were. We cannot praise them enough. Ahmed and all the staff were excellent and our instructor Ali was amazing. He drilled us hard, but we came through feeling very confident because Ali had worked us hard. Pick ups from our hotel were always on time, and everyone was very accommodating whilst we were there. The centre is well equipped, clean and located on the beach. We would recommend Egypt Divers for any level. Thank you all for making our trip special.
