Ilios Dive Club - One with the Red Sea The Steigenberger Al Dau Resort, Red Sea, Hurghada is the home of Ilios Dive Club. On an area of 360m² we are offering everything diver, skin diver and those going to be need to have a perfect holiday. Due to over 20 years of experience in the professional management of a dive centre we guarantee our guests wonderful dives in the Red Sea. High standards and professionalism are for us the basics to feel comfortable. The dive centre is equipped with two multimedia classrooms, two big guest equipment rooms, workshop, filling station (Nitrox panel available), wheelchair accessible guest toilettes and showers and a very big rinsing area. Ilios DC is directly at the beach with our own marina in front, which allows diving and boat trips in a most comfortable way. Two private diving yachts (Al Dau 1+2) assure perfect comfort, delicious food and everything to feel relaxed on board. Certainly the whole centre is done border free, as we are already since 1992 specialized in teaching diving to people with disability. Ilios Dive Club is offering the full program; divers and non divers need to spend relaxing holidays, such as intro dives, daily diving and snorkelling tours to the beautiful dive spots of the Red Sea. Our PADI dive school offers courses from beginner up to professional. For sure we offer live aboard safaris, diving packages and special offers for groups as well. We used this as we were staying at the hotel where the dive club is. We booked via an agent around the pool. You can pay cash (euros or Egyptian pounds) card at the club or as we did added to our room.
The 4 instructors on the boat were Islam, Hendy, Salama and Hendra (apologies if they are wrong spellings) all were brilliant and very helpful making you feel in good, safe hands. The captain and rest of the crew were also amazing and helpful getting you ready for your dive. You get a lesson onboard of signals and equipment then given plenty of time in the water to be happy with it. The instructors were very patient with all the guests.
Lunch was served on board and was chicken sausages and pasta with some salad. Photos were taken by their photographer and worth the money but you aren’t pushed into buying.

Once again there were indescribable and unforgettable moments with Illios Dive at the individual diving spots.
With a lot of commitment from the desktop to the ship's crew, simply priceless customer service and support.
The dive guides Fami / Isam / Waleed / Hani were reliably friendly at their best in their usual friendly, competent and absolutely safety first attitude.

Ilios Dive Club is friendly, professional and the team is so organized acting as a family. Starting from the pre check and the professionalism in answering the emails and clarifying the data and details, through the check in, the training, trips, boats and all the staff all was excellent extremely friendly and helpful, even with all the customized requests we had!
My son and I enjoyed all the activities we did and we had an amazing time during our trip, well done to all Ilios staff and management!

This was my second, but certainly not my last, diving holiday with the Ilios Dive Club Hurghada. With over 1250 dives and almost 30 years of diving experience with a focus on Egypt, I can say that this is a really good diving base. The price/performance ratio is right. Guests are offered a lot of service and safety coupled with beautiful diving spots. The guides and the ladies at check-in are very friendly. The food on the diving boat is also very good. The punctual pick-up from the hotel in the morning rounded off the overall picture.

The base is perfectly managed, the organization of the pickup and the excursions couldn't have been better. The spots were varied and they made an effort to do nice dives away from the crowds. However, this is not always possible due to the wind.
As far as the guides are concerned, you have to be lucky. Unfortunately, I was a bit unlucky on two days and got the one who spoke German but was in a bad mood and acted quite haphazardly and in a customer-unfriendly manner. The group was ordered into the water and had to wait there for 5 minutes until the guide was dressed and ready. On a dive at 12 meters, you got scolded if you were more than 5 meters away from your buddy (both advanced+ with 100+ TG), another diver with 1000+ TG was scolded because he reduced the amount of lead without consulting us, etc. In short, the good man lacked nerves and intuition. As far as I can tell, this guide is the exception; the others didn't speak German but were relaxed, friendly and tried to ensure that the guests had a safe and enjoyable dive.
That's why the base is fully recommended!

On holiday with family and friends, we shared a wonderful diving and snorkelling trip , with breathtaking underwater scenery. I would particularly like to thank Amir for his very professional and reassuring support throughout the activity. We experienced snorkeling today with Ilios dive club. We ordered our excursion through Hotel we stayed at (Steigenberger Aqua Magic). The club is right at the beach side. The staff is really helpful. I am not a good swimmer and cannot swim at sea, but Islam (if I pronounce his name correctly), our diving instructor was a nice and helpful gentleman that explained everything with patience and took care of us every minutes at sea during snorkeling to make sure we are comfortable. I highly recommend to go snorkeling and viewing natural aquarium with them.

I did my Open Water Diver training at Ilios. What can I say...from the communication beforehand, to the instruction, support and implementation on site, to good discussions and recommendations afterwards, everything was perfect. During my training I was accompanied by Sultan, who took me perfectly through all aspects of scuba diving. I felt in good hands, safe and perfectly trained at all times. He took the teaching of the training sections very seriously and regularly asked about them. In addition, he is a relaxed and funny guy. Thank you very much for your help.
A few days later we went on a private boat tour with snorkeling on a boat that has a glass bottom. We were even lucky enough to see dolphins because the crew made an extra detour. Everything was absolutely great on this trip too and I can recommend it 100%. Many thanks to Hindi and the crew.

An amazing all-around experience. Everything from A - Z was perfect. Not only were the instructors calm, friendly and great tutors but the amenities on the boat are second to none (delicious lunch!!). And that is before I even mention the diving itself. The corals of the Red Sea are breathtaking and the wildlife exceptional. This was the highlight of our Egypt and would recommend to literally anyone passing through Hurghada. 5 stars does not do this place justice.

Best and safest dive school I’ve used in 32 years!
A very well organised dive centre which is padi 5 star. The instructors are very experienced and extremely patient.
While I was there I was fortunate enough to witness an underwater marriage proposal with champagne and cake to celebrate.
I was also in awe of a lady who used a wheel chair diving. The dive staff adapted entry and exit to allow her to dive. Her beaming smile was a real delight.
From your first dive to your last these guys are by far the best I’ve come across in 32 years of diving.

Hallo, 35 € sind korrekt. Kinder unter 12 Jahren haben 50% Rabatt, zahlen also nur 17,50 €.
Das Boot fährt morgens um 9.30 und Nachmittags um 13:30 Uhr ab.

Hi there, if you stay at Steigenberger aldau beach, do you have to get a mini bus to the boat to dive with Illios dive centre or do the dive boats leave from the hotel/ dive centre jetty so no need for mini bus? many thanks

Our Windsurf and Kite Surf Services are powered by Ibi & friends with very experienced and professional instructors.
The equipment is always from the current season. The Windsurf equipment are Maui Hot sails in the range of 3.7 to 6.7 m² and boards in the range of 81 to 220 cm (beginner to professional).
The VDWS beginner course is taking app. and you could receive an international license at the end.
