Visited the centre on the 25th feb for a refresher course. Kit was good and location was great. Was sent out with an instructor on a 10m I’m quite a nervous kiter but can water start. I realised pretty quickly that I was overpowered on this kite. Instruction was poor with no enthusiasm what so ever. Clearly this guy didn’t want to be in the water. He had a go at me for riding in apparently a swim area although he didn’t tell me the boundaries of the area before we started. Paid £120 for two hours but ended the lesson early as I’d had enough. Went to the next centre a few days later and had a totally different experience for £35 cheaper !

I went to Kitepeople after my first kite lessons in Tarifa where due to waves I found learning to waterstart difficult. El Gouna is perfect for that with flat waist deep water and friendly and welcoming staff. With "zero risk" approach my lessons were enjoyable and productive. I recommend this school and location.

This was my sixth visit to Kitepeople, testament to the exceptional quality of the team, instructors, facility and good equipment, oh not forgetting the great expanses of shallow flat water, good winds and constant sun. On this 12 day visit every day was kiteable with 10kts to 30kts winds. All other visits I have done have had a very good hit rate too but obviously it is not guaranteed. Booking in and management is efficient, friendly and well handled with the minimum of fuss by Olga and Lieke Great relaxed vib with the beach crew and instructors who do so much to make sure your well looked after and safe. I visit in November and March periods (I use a 4/3 shorty wet suit) which is just on the edge of the main season when I have never found the kite station and lagoons to be crowded however there is a good healthy atmosphere of varying abilities all enjoying themselves, As a well established IKO school I have always been impressed by the way the team have created and delivered relaxed but well well structured training to support my progression, ( I see just after leaving they have become no1 IKO training facility - well deserved) The storage and rescue facilities are very good providing a safe and secure environment what ever your level and however often you might need help, Its a great resort to bring your partner if they don't kite as its 5 star and all exclusively in one place, my wife loves it. Already booked to head back again for the seventh time in March. Fantastic place which I cant get enough off.
