About
From the moment we collect you from your hotel in our own private 30 seater bus you will find our instructors, guides and boat crew ready to help you with a big welcoming smile. Our team work well together to ensure your day is fun with both comfort and safety our priority. We visit two different sites every day, such as Siyoul, Galawa and Nugar just to mention a few, we also dive the wrecks at Nuhas, Rosalie Muller and Thistlegorm. As we are North of the busy diving resorts of Hurghada we are fortunate to be able to reach the more exclusive Northern sites. We pride ourselves with the comfort of our fleet. Our boats are all equipped for divers and snorkelers. However, if you wish to come out with us for a relaxing day without getting your hair wet, you will find the boats both spacious and comfortable.

Professional (but very very FUN and FUNNY) dive instructors!!
They were responsible but also pushed me to be a better and more responsible diver.
Reminder to those that haven’t dived much in a while: it takes a dive to get comfortable again and use less oxygen and not move around so much (I know it sure did for me).
The dives on my second day were MUCH more comfortable than on the first day. If you haven’t dived in a while I’d recommend doing at least two days of dives!!

A few years ago i did my PADI Open Water with Colona in Sharm El Sheikh. A year later i did my Advance course, Nitrox, and project Aware too - same branch but different instructor this time (both brilliant and perfect examples of how one should treat coral reef and marine life)
In Colona Magawish i did the Deep Diver speciality (and tons of fundiving!) I also did some snorkeling which certainly can be just as amazing, specially in the summertime.
I did my rescue course in Colona El Gouna and a few months later the peak performance buoyancy speciality too. And these days I'm completing the Wreck dive speciality and the drift dive speciality.
Because of these visits, courses, fundiving and snorkeling-trips i have encountered a lot of different DM`s, instructors, boat crew and other members of staff during my visits to Colona over the years. I`ve traveled with family, friends, partner and i have traveled alone as well. No problem whatsoever. You get new friends left, right and center.
What really stands out for me with Colona is how safety oriented they are and how skilled the DM`s and instructors are. Everybody knows and CARE (that`s a big plus in my book!) about their reefs, and because safety is never compromised it makes diving the way it should be: fun and enjoyable. And you learn a lot about marine life too.
I`m now planning to do the Dive Master (then all of my courses will have been with colona) next summer. And I'm not considering to do the DM with any other dive company. At all.
My top-3 tips:
- Badawe (to be found in magawish/el gouna) is *the* master of finding frogfishes, stone fishes and scorpion fishes. It doesn`t really matter if he dives or snorkels, he`ll spot them anyway. Badawe must have some sort of radar i know very little about and makes all dives/snorkles a true underwater treasure-hunt.
- If you want to do some courses and would like an instructor you can trust 100% - Ali is one of the best (to be found in magawish/el gouna). He is always 100% attentive and dedicated to getting the best out of his students. Oh, and when you are about to give up an exercise because of fear, exhaustion etc - he will never give up on you :)
- there is a high probability that best food you`ll encounter while in Egypt is found onboard the dive boats! Boat-lunches beats the hotel lunches every time. And i`ve never had any stomach problems from the food of the boats either.
So if you want to be safe, have fun and learn more - check out these guys. I would`t have recommended them had it not been for the countless excellent experiences i`ve had over the years.

Colona divers is a great dive company!!! We dove and snorkeled with Colona Divers in El Gouna for two days and we could not have asked for more. Between two non-divers who wanted to snorkel and three scuba divers (of varying levels of certification), Colona was able to accommodate all of our needs/wishes. Hamed, Colona’s business manager, coordinated every aspect of the trip, to include taking our youngest son on his first dive trip ever. The crew was extremely professional and welcoming, the boat was clean and comfortable, the food was excellent and plentiful and the dive gear was in great condition. We highly recommend this dive company!! We can’t wait to return.

we had 3 days dive with Colona divers El Gouna - first time but certainly not the last.
Professional service, nice boats with nice people Well organized diving operation.
Since I'm into UWP, we hired private guide - Walid- for more flexibility. Quite happy with his service. He knew exactly what I want with my camera and he's a good model as well.

I went on a kitesurfing trip with Colona Divers - based on reviews, I had very high expectations but they didn’t come close to how great this cruise was.
The staff were super nice, attentive and dedicated, always happy to assist or to fill up on food, snacks or whatever. When winds were low they spent four or five hours in the rib boat doing circles for us to wakeboard - we asked repeatedly if they didn’t need a break but they were happy to continue driving.
The boat was kept tidy and well organised - it felt very safe, in transfer, on the bot and during all activities. They always kept an eye out, whether we were diving, kite surfing, snorkelling, wakebording or just swimming and drinking.
I am a true foodie and had set my expectations for Egypt standard, which generally is so-so. The food on the boy however was really good - not one single course was less than good and considering the limitations of a boat kitchen, they performed miracles. The barbecue they used on the dive platform was a great touch.
In all, this is the best tour I’ve gone on, beating previous dive tours on the Great Barrier Reef and similar. Highly recommended!

I dived with these folks for 2 days and had a great time. Badawi, our dive guide, was very helpful and nice. The boat is very comfortable with a lovely crew who served nice lunch and helped out with equipment.

I am a master level SSI SCUBA diver who has had the privilege of diving all over world and the Red Sea for the past 13 years. The Red Sea is one of my most favorite places to dive. The water is warm, calm, clear and the underwater life is spectacular. Sadly, the diversity of the fish and coral life has taken a very dangerous turn and I hope that Egypt will find a way to preserve this natural wonderland.
I had never dove El Gouna, so decided to try it out. After contacting several dive companies and reading reviews, I opted to dive with Colona and I am so glad they did. They picked me up from my chalet. The boat was beautiful, clean and well maintained. They greeted me on the boat and then took me on a tour of the boat while explaining the rules.
I was paired with DiveMaster Ali and he was incredible! They split the group into 2: advanced divers and newly licensed. This ensured that our advanced group would not be hindered by inexperienced divers. Ali took the time to draw a detailed map of each site complete with depths and what to expect from marine life. He explained all our hand signals including the local signals for the most common marine life. He made sure everyone in the group introduced oneself so we felt comfortable with each other.
The dives were great, lunch was delicious and the staff was kind, knowledgeable and courteous. Definitely top notch, well run dive shop. Highly recommend and plan to dive with them again!

Hi guys, i would like to know if you have any Spanish speaking instructors for an open water certification in mid october. Also can you advise me if it is better to bring euros or USD to Egypt. Thanks.

Hi, We don't have Spanish instructor, but we are able to get the study material in Spanish, and also the final exam in Spanish. This way you will be able to study the theory in your own language. USD or Euro will work equally good, nothing better than the other. Looking forward to hear from you and hopefully meet you at Colona Divers.
Best Regards
