Maybe there is a better time of year to go here. The sea lions were sleeping on distant rocks; the current is too strong for swimming at the beach; and it's really really hot.

Marvellous beach, if you want you can walk to the chocolatera. The view from the viewpoint is priceless, On top of that you can watch the sea lions in the nature relaxing on the stone right in front of you.

Having been to the Galapagos, this was a bit of a let down, but it is cool to know that some sea lions live off the mainland coast of Ecuador.

Great place to go and see the Sea Lions, the birds and - in season (June though October), the Humpback whales! A really wonderful place to visit and see some wonderful marine wildlife!

If you happen to be in Salinas this is worth the short trip! A colony of male sealions and humpback whales close to shore (in season). The inland of the area is not much to see but the shoreline is nice.
