Salinas is a beautiful beach that is located in Ecuador. In Salinas you can do many activities like, visit the Overlook, see the whales, eat delicious food and walk around the city. It is a very safe and peaceful place. So, it is a perfect place to go in family. If you go there, you will love it.

Salinas is one of the most visited beaches in the province of Santa Elena. You can do a lot of activities in its beaches. The local food is very good. Its specialty is seafood. In addition, the environment is very friendly because there are more nightclubs to have fun. But, this place has risks. You could not go out alone, always in a group because you can be robbed. Ecuador is dangerous.

Salinas is a wonderful place, its beach has very crystalline waters where you can relax quietly.
The only bad thing is that in my opinion there is not much variety of food, as is the case with other beaches.
The stay in Salinas is very good, although a bit expensive, but certain hotels offer breakfast service, so depending on the hotel you stay you will have certain advantages.
In conclusion, Playas Salinas is still one of the places that I would never get tired of visiting, I really like its waters.

I drove all the way from Guayaquil because everyone said playa Salinas was one of the best beaches in Ecuador. If this is the case, Ecuador is clearly not a beach country. It has much to offer, but playa dasalina is sad and depressing.

Whereas Quito Ecuador struck me as a relatively clean city, Salinas is filthy. There is garbage on the streets. The beach looks awful. The water isn't especially clear, and there is a sort of black sludgy seaweed-like material covering the entire length of the beach. And it doesn't look like clean just seaweed. It's got a few bottle caps and potato chip wrappers mixed in. Then there are the taxi cabs. It's maddening. Regardless of what direction you are walking, every taxi cab will blow its horn at you. Clearly there are not enough tourists to fill the cabs. I saw zero cabs with passengers. I'm sure there was one but I didn't see it. The highlight of this beach is the chain coffee shop called Sweet and coffee. It looked like some locals were having a good time. And there were plenty of kids with their families. There was some beach volleyball and football. I'm just very happy that I chose to stay in Guayaquil and not one of the hotels here in Salinas.

I had’nt visited Salinas for along time, but las month, i traveled to salinas with my borther. it was the perfect weather to go to the beach. The water was clear and it had rich deep blue in colour. The sand was very my hot, was amazing. the sound of the waves crashing and the cool sea breeze brushing by. I enjoyed looking at the surrounding , watching people take the sun ,waiting to get in the water.
I enjoy going to this beach.. It is seen as a place of relaxation because it is normally quiet and peaceful there, After a while, we swam in the sea, which was cool and nice. It was very crowded the beach with people from many places of Guayaquil and people from the surrounding. Then I sat on the sand and ate sandwiches, cookies and fruit followed by frozen drinks.

Salinas is a coastal city located in the Province of Santa Elena, to 90 miles from Guayaquil, it is an important tourist center of Ecuador and the most popular and upscale beach lifestyle, The beach is plit by a jetty, which houses the Salinas Yacht Club. To the north is Salinas Beach, and south of the jetty lies Chipipe Beach which has a little bit more of a family atmosphere. It’s visited mostly by Ecuadorian families who come down for the weekend, if you want to visit Salinas you don’t have to worry about the price of the hotels because Salinas offers some decent amenities at a lower cost than you’ll find almost anywhere also it offers a lot of water sports and activities like skydiving and parasailing. You can also try surfing or wakeboarding.
Finally, without hesitation I can tell you that here you will find a unique cuisine, its specialty is seafood, which includes: ceviches, encebollados, arroz marinero, shrimp, crabs. Salinas is one of the most beautiful places that Ecuador has.

Salinas is one of the most visited beaches in Ecuador, it is located in the province of Santa Elena. It has a dry climate and an average temperature.
Last vacation, I went with my friends , we had a very good time because the beach wasn't very crowded and the weather was perfect. We spent a whole week there. I have never gone to the beach with friends, so it was awesome.
I recommend this place because it is perfect to go with Your family or friends, you can do a lot of activities such as sailing, beach volleyball, or enjoy the WONDERFUL night life.
It has a lot of hotels with different prices, the probem is THAT on holidayS, the beach is too crowded and everything becomes very expensive, however, it's a place that worth to visit.

Everyone in Ecuador knows and goes to Salinas. It is lined with cool restaurants and condos. I last visited over new years and had an experience like I have never had. They build fires on the beach and shoot fireworks from multiple locations. This was the best new years ever and I cannot wait to go back. Great food, nice beach and activities.

Salinas was a sleepy beach town transitioning between tourist seasons. The beach was so-so but the farther you went from the shore the more picturesque the water. Playa Las Salinas had a long causeway lined with restaurants and hotels that was reminiscent of South Beach in Miami, although not as nice. However, it was acceptable given the affordable cost. There was a nice pier (El Malecon) which provided a nice panoramic view of the city shoreline. The beach itself is a swimmer’s beach and I was able to rent an umbrella and chair for $3 USD which is cheap compared to other places. While not as bad as Bocagrande in Cartagena, I did constantly have to shoo vendors and ad-hoc masseuses away as I was trying to relax. The most frustrating thing about Salinas was the inconsistent hours of the restaurants in that a restaurant would be busy one day and completed boarded up the next. It was the same thing with food vendors, I never ran into the same vendor two days in a row. The only restaurants that remained opened throughout the week were either the ones that charged US expensive prices or the seafood places which I couldn’t eat due to allergies. There were several instances where I enjoyed a dish but didn’t get to eat it again. In the end, Salinas was a cheap place for locals to come relax and do as little as possible which is why it seemed that there weren’t many foreign tourists hanging around.

If you are training swimming, this is a beach for you, cause there are no waves. Note that I cane here during off season so not many people were here in October.
