The pier

This place now has a very nice pier. It is a nice place to stroll with the family and gather shells.

At the beginning of the beach there is almost no sand anymore! Which means you have to go the end for some space. The quality of water is good, nice blue and ideal for snorkelling. Also enough activities to do, the banana, boat rental, whale spotting trips, etcetera.

The waves were not big at this beach. So it was nice for swimming. There is a busier part of the beach, with lots of people and lots of locals selling things as well. If you walk 10 min south the beach isn't as busy. So it's kinda nice to have both option. Lots to eat around there as well.... More

We went to this beach one day but did not stay long because it was pretty crowded. It is definitely not the nicest beach in Salinas but it is very convenient to a number of restaurants and lodging.
