Two years ago, I go to visited Montecristi, The Rain Forest, and San Lorenzo Beach in Manta, is so nice there and have a little time of peace and fresh air, you can see a lot animals in them .
If you have much time and patience to can see all this forest can give you. You much to pay 15 or 20 dolars the entrance but it depended if you go or not with a guide but is more or less 1 hour and half in the midle of the forest is verey nice, we can see the monkeys, spiders, insects, and a lot of animals.

San Lorenzo is a prodigal beach in Manabí. Like few places, the scenic beauty and nature take visitors hostage. The area has everything that a demanding tourist looks for to have a good time: adventure, surfing, gastronomy, nature, wildlife. In this environment is Pacoche, a protected area of tropical-humid forest of 13,545 hectares (5,045 terrestrial and 8,500 marine), with 4 km. of beaches. Inside you can breathe pure air. In the marine area it is possible to see turtles nesting on the beach; and on land to the howler monkeys in the mountains. You can also head towards the Sendero del Faro, five minutes from San Lorenzo. The route includes a 300-meter walk that ends at a lighthouse, which guides the boats at night. The steps and handrail are made of wood, and the vegetation is home to lizards, parakeets, ants and other insects. From there you can admire the cliff and when you look to the side be surprised by a beach with turquoise water full of boobies, frigates and pelicans.

Beautiful place, its is a place for sea turtles nest, it has a beautiful view from the lighthouse hill. there are places to eat but it is little dangerous to get into the sea.
between July and August you can see the whales jumping in the horizon.

My cousin drove us down to San Lorenzo.
It was a gorgeous sunny day, so a walk on the beach was in order. Theres some amazing rocks at the end of the beach where it was fun to watch the waves crash. Depending on if the tide is in, can make walking on the shoreline a little challenging, as it is a fairly steep decline. But there is plenty of sand away from the waterline if someone doesn't want to walk near the water. Take your camera and get some beautiful photos!

Swim at your own risk. Great view. Bring your tent and plenty of snacks if you are traveling with kids. Lovely sand. You can walk along the beach longer than 2 hours...

The beach is a nice long beach, and the sea turtles love to lay eggs and bury them under the sand. To keep the eggs safe, where they lay them are marked off so you don't accidentally walk over nest and kill the babies before they hatch. Other than that, there is not a lot to see here that is different from many other beaches in Ecuador.
