We visited Laguna las Ninfas twice. Once was in the afternoon (around 3:00 p.m.) and once in the morning (8:00 a.m.). Each time there were only a couple of fish swimming around. Furthermore, there looks to have been an elevated boardwalk which went around the laguna at one time, but this is no longer accurate. It is a peaceful place if you would like to sit on the wobbly decking for a few minutes, but that's about it.

I had booked a hotel near this location so we could visit it easily with down time. Unfortunately you can't get around the lagoon. I think it will be under construction for some time, as I didn't see any restoration work being done. It's a shame because it looked like it could be amazing.

Having read reviews, I did not expect much, but as we were spending four nights in Puerto Ayora it seemed worth a stop. I ended up going back the next day because I enjoyed it so much. It's very peaceful and there is interesting signage in English and Spanish describing the flora (and some amusing carvings on the fence only in Spanish).

While I personally didn't see much in the way of wildlife besides some little fish, it was a peaceful refuge that I really enjoyed. And it's free! The only way to make it better would be to make the boardwalk so that it was a loop rather than an out-and-back.

Just 5 minutes from town center and it’s free. Fun to walk around and see the different iguanas and there were also a sea lion swimming around. Spend 30 minutes there.

Lovely little lagoon, right in town. Well worth the visit.
It is only a short board walk.
It is a bit odd that it's not a loop, but it is nice.

Very nice walk. Although some of the docks boards were broken or loose. Made me nervous with little kids. But overall nice. We saw sea turtles and sea lions and lots of fish. Very informative signage as well

"Escucha el silencio", Spanish for listen to the silence. It´s the first thing we read in a plank in the wooden floor. A very calm and peaceful place in Puerto Ayora even tough in the midlle of town. I went there twice and Always with few people or nobody, that´s why we can listen to the silence. It has a gate that closes at 5:00 PM.

We enjoyed this informative quiet, relaxful boardwalk on the outskirts of Puerto Ayora - it is creatively put together with labels put on boardwalk on which you walk.

There is nothing too special about this place, but it's right in the middle of town, so it's easy to visit. You can see some baby shark in the water and the mangroves are beatiful. Anywhere else it would be a really nice place, but in Galapagos it kind of suffer from being among so many amazing things to see.

We ere the only ones here - everyone else heads for Turtle Bay. However, this peaceful and secluded lagoon is actually in Puerto Ayora, but not well signposted at all. It is certainly worth a visit, and is really easy to walk round using the raised platforms.
