After having the worst dives of our entire life (both with about 70 logged dives around the world) with my husband by albatros dive resort, we were pretty hard to gain trust again. Meanwhile albatros was unprofessional, not caring, unsafe with bad equipment and dishonest, here we found an oasis: people who cared, safety first, professional guides, honesty, thinking with... Óscar and his crew took us scuba diving, and we saw so so many cool things! The boat was immaculately clean and the staff really focused on safety. We were fed a snack of fruit, chips, and crackers between dives and given a lunch of meat, vegetables, and rice after the two guides were complete. On the days that we... More

The diving in the Galapagos overall is super, but the staff at Academy was AWESOME. I've been on many dive boats, mostly in the US, and was pleasantly surprised at the extreme care this crew/company takes in their trade. The boat and equipment was spotless and super organized. I knew the dive was going to be safe. The pre-dive briefing... More

LOOK NO FURTHER. You can stop your search now. Book your trip with Academy Bay- you won't regret it. We started researching for our Galapagos trip 6 months prior to the trip. There were so many travel agencies to choose from, but they weren't flexible to meet our needs. We stumbled upon Academy Bay and decided to email them for... More

We only dove with Academy Bay and one other less expensive one. And I can definitely say the little extra Academy Bay charges it ABSOLUTELY worth it. They have a great boat, best equipment, amazing food, really organized so that everything is streamlined. I would only dive with them again when I come back to Santa Cruz. Highly recommend!!!

While the vis in early May was slightly less than stellar, the diving was great! Darwin's Rock had rays, seals, hammerheads and the largest sea horse i have seen to date! I can't wait to go back and when I do, i will be sure to get Alice to hook us up with another phenomenal dive experience.

We (and friends) dove with Academy Bay, Scuba Iguana, and Silberstein on Santa Cruz -- the three dive shops that seem to have the best reputations for safe, professional diving. Academy Bay was the clear choice for all of us. They have a new, bigger boat (April 2016) that's much more comfortable (pounds less on the long runs out to... More

Academy Bay was recommended to us by other travellers and after some shopping we ended up doing our 4 dives with them. Very professional, organized, serious, safe and fun diving! I've never had such a lengthy and complete explanation of the divesite, safetyregulations, buoyancy check, etc. We even got to be the first to use the new boat! Everything was... More

Had a great time diving with Academy Bay. They expect a buoncy check of every new diver getting onboard, equipment is in good shape, the guides were fun and paid attention to everyone. They do pretty much everything for you, I'd prefer to set up my gear myself, but ok. The groups were put together based on experience. Dive time... More
