We booked a day tour to Santa Fe Island on Santa Fe III with Galapagos a la Carte, and had an excellent day. Our guide, Diego was knowledgable - he's been a Galapagos Naturalist Guide for 43 years! He took his time and allowed us to enjoy every moment of the tour. Visibility for snorkeling was very good. The food was tasty and there was plenty of room on the boat for everyone.

Great day out including snorkelling with sharks, reef and fish, a short hike and delicious lunch. Friendly crew, ample space and options for those who are not strong swimmers to go in a little tender when needed. We saw: loads of seals, iguanas, blue footed boobies, manta rays, reef sharks, tiger sharks and more. Would highly recommend.

Our guide, Diego, and the bus came right on time. We had a small group our day - only seven of us. The boat supposedly holds up to 24 guests, though that would have been very crowded. We got up to the channel and we’re taken by zodiac to the boat. She is supposedly 12 years old, but she looks older. Everything works, but it seems dated. We sailed to N Seymour and Diego took us ashore. He was informative (more so than the last guide I had in the Galapagos). We walked around for a bit over an hour, and then went back to the boat. Lunch was next. Good fish with rice, salad and some previously frozen vegetables. After a short ride, we jumped in the water for some snorkeling. We went a long distance along the shoreline, but didn’t see a ton (some sharks, one ray, schools of fish, but no sea lions or iguanas). Later, we walked a beach with turtle nests on the north side of Santa Cruz and then went back home.

We took 3 day tours with Diego and loved them all. A big thanks to Diego & his crew for making our Galapagos tour of the islands a special time we'll remember! We appreciated all the guide's explanations of the locale & animals and especially loved all the snorkeling sites. We enjoyed the good food and came away with lots of gorgeous pictures.

We went on day trips on two different yachts, and Santa Fe was definitely the better experience. The yacht is quite spacious, and the crew and the service is excellent. Diego and his team were great as guides and at providing top notch service to the tourists.
